x6100

Dave Hunter

But if the x 6100 shall inherit the earth then what will become of us x 5105 owners?

I¡¯ve worried that myself. After all the FW updates &c, even with all it¡¯s faults, the X5105 is still a darn good field QRP radio. If the 6100 manages to be better, well, sure: temptation. But the X5105 is like the old cat that still crawls slowly into your lap even if it drools on you. So I¡¯ll keep what I got ¡®til the verdicts are all in.?

we'll upgrade to a 6100 :)

I'm satisfied with my x5105... very satisfied, despite a "pletora" of little bugs it has...
Think that I have a couple of rig for U/V (a mobile and an ht) and only x5105 for HF.
Lot of fun with it at home and on the hills around here...
I don't want to put it in the junk...
The perspective of no fw update in the future make me sad...

All that said: maybe, a fair and generous "buy-back campaign" should help us to decide... :-)

Gio, how would a 5100-buyback campaign help Xiegu stay in business? Sounds like a fast track to bankruptcy if you ask me.

I'll be keeping my X5105 after my X6100 arrives. I'll sell my G90 and my GSOC unless I can figure our a reliable HF mobile setup.
