Re: AM TRANSMIT DISTORTION
Try setting it MUCH lower, as someone else has suggested above.? Increasing the setting would make it even worse! Try setting at 25, as Joel did. -- Doug, K8RFT

Re: AM TRANSMIT DISTORTION
Hi Doug, Thank you¡ I¡¯ve tried that and no success. Tried modulation at 60 61 62 and 63 - did not improve distortion. I can see it on my spectrum analyzer and hear it on my monitor receiver -

Re: AM TRANSMIT DISTORTION

Re: AM TRANSMIT DISTORTION
Hi Dale, I just conducted a test transmitting with my X5105 on 10 meter AM and found it was really distorted at the the default AM modulation level of 60, but when turned down to 45 it sounded quite

Re: AM TRANSMIT DISTORTION
I have tried all of the settings for TX AM, and nothing makes it better. One would think that the AM mod and demod would all be done in SDR code. Simply multiplying Cos(Wm)t by Cos (Wc)t yields

Re: AM TRANSMIT DISTORTION
Well, I have not tried AM, but the 'logical' reason would be overmodulation. Check the manual (and adjust modulation level)- System parameter configuration Personalized settings can be achieved for

Mine also charges to 'about' 12.6. I've never seen any info about the serial numbers.? I'd suggest asking the dealers, like Radioddity (where I got mine) or the newer dealer, Connect Systems.? It

Internal Battery voltage
My internal battery charges up to 12.3V then says it's full. Is this about what others notice also? Another question, how can I tell when my X5105 was manufactured from the serial number? Joel N6ALT
