Hi Brian, I am not aware that they have different firmware versions based on countries. At Radioddity download page the latest is v3.0.0 build 7 and at xiegu.eu the latest is v3.0.0 build 8 Dick

As I mentioned the menus are different which is fine. The only annoying difference is that their is no indication of which digit is selected for tuning. To know which one you have to tune and see
