Controlling the X1M with HRD

I picked up an interface serial to USB cable for the X1M this week. The manual suggests using the Icom IC-718 drivers in HRD but I find I cannot connect. Has something happened since the X1M first came out or should I be using a different set of drivers. |
The DB9 port on the X1M is not a serial port, but just a DB9 connector.? Two of the pins are put in use as TX and RX for data. The rest were for amp or tuner control that was never implemented.
The stock cable that was offered had the correct pinouts, and was more like one of the HT programming cables in its basic form.? I have since sold my X1M but I might still have one of the cables if you're interested.? I'll have to dig around. --Neil, W2NDG |
