GIANTS In & On The Land
When I was growing up in (what I term "OLD") California (BEFORE the DemoCommies turned it into a ShiteHole!) our family would spend every weekend and every other summer exploring darn near every inch of its mountains, deserts, ocean sides, its history, --And-- its LEGENDS! = We knew more about that state than most multigenerational natives. And we were TRANSPLANTS! (I used to love dumbfounding my high school college educated California History teachers!!! LOL) The rich California HISTORY of explorers, pioneers, gold miners, military, and outlaws were all GREAT!!! BUT I always got a kick out of those "Legends" though the most. Heck, I was a WEIRD JUNKIE even then! And the REAL OLD, > OLD < California had A LOT of REALLY WEIRD OLD Legends from even before anybody thought about introducing Pot, LSD or HollyWeird!!! But, even then, I wasn't some greenhorn waiting to be somebody's sucker. I took in those legends with a HUGE grain of Logical Reasoning adjusted salt! . . . Which never made them any the less intriguing! ESPECIALLY, if you were willing to keep an Open Mind and acknowledge that even the TALLEST TALES usually had a foundation of FACTS to base them on, . . . . if not straight up, back them up!!! One branch of those OLD Legends had to do with the LOST RACES that inhabited the land before, and often, at the very same time as the earliest humans. Some even right into Modern Times! One of those "Lost" Races was that of "Fair Skinned, Red-Haired GIANTS" that dominated not only Indian Lore throughout the state (and the nation for that matter!) but were even referenced to by the Early Spanish explores and missionaries in their writings. There was even an account I'd once read of regarding Russian Trappers in Northern California above San Fransico (Before there WAS a San Fran!) stumbling across a small tribe and mistaking them for a group of previously arrived Russian explorers. But that fell apart when they found that they couldn't come close to speaking a single word of the same language and had to fall back on a pidgin trade language spoken by the local native Indians. How WEIRD must THAT have been???? Now the term "GIANTS" can be highly subjective at best depending on the average height your run-of-the-mill male of THAT PARTICULAR time period. (There's that "SALT"! LOL) = Your average California Indian usually stood no taller than 5'3-4". Your Spaniard (and/or Russian) early explorer wasn't much taller at about 5'6-8" at best. However, when you have "Learned Men" like those early Spanish explorers and missionaries recording the beings that they met as being from SEVEN FEET to even NINE FEET TALL!!!!! . . . . Well, even our pro Basketball teams would be scrambling hard to sign contracts! I know that I mentioned my own dad's fixation hobby with the Giants and Lost Underground City ("Shin-Au-Av") beneath the mountains of Death Valley. And contrary to many naysayers > I < think that there was enough documentation and recovered artifacts (now mysteriously "lost"!!!) to more than substantiate the Paiute legends and the attempts in >1947!!! < of to launch an expedition to RETURN to those locals. The Hidden City of Death Valley The tribes of the Mojave Desert regions have a number of legends regarding Giants, their structures and even a whole huge city of "Evil Ones" that vanished one night "among much rumblings of the earth". It wasn't all that long ago when THE PUBLIC could go exploring across that desert and still easily find long, wide, clear & level, ruler-straight roads that would begin and end at NOWHERE. Along with being able to explore some of those "Ancient Megastructures" ruins. NOW the government keeps it as buttoned up as Groom Lake and declared it a Military Weapons Testing Area. . . . . Yeah. Go Figure! But these are "JUST LEGENDS", right??? There just ain't any HARD EVIDENCE anywhere to support these WEIRD Stories about GIANTS. Right??? Perhaps. Certainly NOT ANYMORE!!! = Say, THANK YOU, Bleeding Heart Libs and your Bloody STUPID "Graves Act"!!! . . . BUT! Once upon a time, not all that long ago, there was even

I just read something that you might want to think about ... It is an accepted account of trees on earth now and it is accepted there were MORE trees in the past. That number is 3 TRILLION!!!!!! I would think it VERY possible for huge numbers of plant eaters to find food. Maybe? Ron

Combat Dealer

I never even considered that the show might be on UTube. I was sick most of today so I didn't get to really check it out but did bookmark the link you sent me. That is the same show, Quest is where I watch it Monday through Friday, 2 - 2 hour shows, 11:00pm and the second at 12:00pm. There is enough equipment sitting around collecting dust as it is, they don't need more. Besides that half that stuff "On Display" is incomplete, not only missing lots of parts but they have the wrong parts. I've never in person been to one of those museums, seen enough of them on TV to know I wouldn't waste my time. I want to see and hear them run and fire ... alast, I probably will never see any of the real shows where lots of real world equipment shows up and gets used. I hope you enjoy the show as much as I do!!!!! Ron

movies

Shit damn near everything these days is preachy and bleeding heart liberal garbage. I don't even bother checking on a movie made after 2010 as it seems every time we have looked they turned into shit or where shit right off the bat. I'll be damned if I will watch a couple queers kissing or listen to Hollweirds BS being spouted as if it made any difference in the movie. Dances With Wolves would be a pretty good description of about as liberal BS as I will watch. I like the movie, but not in love with it. I NEVER decide what to watch by what the "experts" say a movie is no matter who they are. I make my own decisions. I've seen so many shows that were GREAT the first year and maybe into the second only to turn into total garbage as they play out. And EVERY SINGLE ONE of them that I actually checked on showed that the first writers were replaced by someone else who immediately ruined the show. I will not watch ANY series until I can stream the whole thing. That's carved in stone. I will watch a TV show if it is on only one day a week if it is real good. For Instance, that show Combat Dealers is on a couple hours a day and is well worth catching them and coming back for more but it is not a continuous "movie" type work. I don't know if we can get Hell on Wheels, Looks like something we would be interested in. I guess really, in some cases like this we wouldn't mind watching one season and then waiting for a second. We liked Godless ... Deadwood was OK, we did like it but there is so much swearing it just gets old real fast. I know I have a potty mouth but man enough is enough!! It was like a contest to see who could say fuck more than anyone else. We went through the whole show one time, I highly doubt we will ever watch it again. We saw a good "modern '' war story yesterday ... The Land of Bad. The first 95% of it is really good but the ending wasn't on par with the rest of the movie and the last couple minutes were just filler as far as I am concerned. Ron

Halftrack

The story goes ... the maintenance group that runs the FAMO decided that since one of their trucks with a 6 ton crane on it hit a land mine and lost the whole front end that they could use the crane on the Famo instead of just having an empty storage space. So the wreck of the truck was cut apart, most all the parts that were on it will be part of the Famo. Of course there is always the scrounged odd part or two, I'm not sure what it will look like when done. It will still be able to pull the transport trailer but now will also be of much more use to the maintenance and repair group. That's my story and I'm stick'in to it. :-) Ron

repeats

I couldn't tell you how many times we have seen Longmire but I do pretty much know it by heart. LOL Yea, one might say we like it. I've never heard of Outer Range, I'll check it out. I have not a whole lot of interest in any of the "repeat" westerns, I LOVE the originals and not afraid to say one of my "hero's" is John Wayne, not for his movies but for the way he lived his life. He NEVER sold out to Hollweird. Soap Opera is what I would call Yellowstone, we might give it a try if we can see it for free. I have a lot more interest in the Western that Kevin Costner has spent 30 years making with his own money. I figure it will either be one hell of a GREAT movie or a real bomb. We'll wait and see. Yup, Lonesome Dove is another one of our favorites. There are several series but I just flat out can't think of their names right off hand. My memory stinks to say the least. I can "see" the shows in my mind but can't even think of the names of the guys in them we like. I'd say a good western gets us every time the other is murder mysteries. We've seen several British shows like that and even a couple of other foreign movies we liked - as long as they were in English. I will NOT-NEVER read my way through ANY movie. Of course then there are the movies I call mine ... the OLD war movies ... Sink the Bismarck - Pursuit of the Graf Spee ... Midway - Patton and that "group" made when people still believed in this country and the stars really were AMERICANS FIRST!!!!!!! Band of Brothers and that group pretty much turn me off. I am VERY particular about what I watch! LOL Ron

Western Series
Other than "YOUNG GUNS" I can't really think of any Western movie type "series"/ franchises other than the Spaghetti types, who have done a number of them. SOME of those are kinda FUN to watch on occasion, but more often than not, are pretty much "You've Seen One, You've Seen Them ALL". Which is pretty much what you can say about most ANY Western, I reckon, but > I < like WESTERNS about as much as I like SF/F and Comedies. And GOOD WESTERNS, old or new(er), best of all. (Ya just can't go wrong with John Wayne! . . . . "Genghis Kan" does NOT count!!!!! LOL) Of course, since we entered THE ERA OF REBOOT HELL, HollyWeird LOW BUDGETS have either tried to revamp CLASSIC WESTERNS and/or extend their lives by adding new chapters that are, more often than not, the same movie just reshot AGAIN on an even lower budget. = "THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN" has sure been run to death through that wringer, and I've heard that "YOUNG GUNS" is "supposed to" get yet another chapter added soon to make now (I think) four OVER EXTENDED episodes. (Not counting the Wannabe TV series "YOUNG RIDERS"!) <sigh> When it comes to standard TV Western series, of either the "Classic" or the Modern Day "Neo-Western" types (Though "some folks" like to include SF/F(Space)-Westerns as "Neo-Westerns", those are a definitely a category all of their own!!!) IMO, you can get a pretty darn mixed bag no matter for how many YEARS or even DECADES a "Fan Favorite" series might have run. Oddly, other than the old short-lived "BRISCO COUNTY JR" Weird-Comedy Western series, I often find myself far more interested in the TV Neo-Westerns than those of the Classic Six-Gun variety. (LONGMIRE mystery/ crime and OUTER RANGE weird/ mystery are a pair of my favorites.) Other than a "Free Preview" first episode, I haven't watched ANY of that YELLOWSTONE series that folks keep going on about. But it sounds like more of a Soap Opera than a "Horse Opera" to me. IMO, what breaks the standard "TV SERIES MOLD" are the "Classic Western" TV MINI-SERIES based on a series of BOOKS. It seems to ME that MOST of them are PRETTY DARN GOOD!!! Currently, I've been watching Larry McMurty's "LONESOME DOVE" tv mini-series. --- I TRIED to watch that attempted HollyWeird spinoff "RETURN TO . . .", but sure didn't care for it and just jumped into "STREETS OF LAREDO" instead. = MAN! you can sure tell the difference when McMurty is writing and not some HollyWeird HACK!!! The Book Series that > I < would REALLY LOVE to see turned into a Mini-Series is Robert B Parker's APPALOOSA (The Virgil Cole & Everett Hitch series). They did such an EXTREMELY INCREDIBLE JOB on The Movie that I think they MIGHT be able to do the same for a mini-series. Even if they could never get the very same actors and director. (Ed Harris was GREAT as both actor & director!!! . . . . He just should have never used Renee Zellweger! What a DUMP!) With four books written by Parker and Robert Knott doing an incredible job of continuing the saga, they would sure have plenty of material to work with to build a mini-series off of. Even if they blended two or even three like HollyWeird tends to do with most "Based On The Book" series. Of course, what I'd REALLY, REALLY love to see is a Six-Gun SPOOKY/ WEIRD Western series!!! Maybe even one done at the very Turn Of The Century!!! . . . . . But I reckon THAT will never happen. <sigh> Got any Dust, HorseShite & Six-Guns movies or series that you are particularly fond of or would LIKE TO SEE???? ---------------------------------------------- Keep Er FUN! & WEIRDZ!!! Titanic Dino Shite
2
So, a couple of weeks back I watched one of those CGI Cartoon flicks from the Jurassic Park franchise that seem bent on outlasting the dinosaurs themselves. (COME ON SPACE ROCKS!!! LOL) Besides all of the utterly ridiculous Kiddy Fare "Action Packed" high-jinks (this one included "Pet" raptors saving the humans from the BAD dinos! LOL) I noticed that it seemed that every one of these flicks had two things in common with nearly every museum display and Hysterical Channel "Documentary" I have ever seen. = 1) TONS OF LUSH JUNGLE VEGETATION. --&-- 2) BUTT LOADS OF SUPER MASSIVE PLANT MUNCHERS. And I started thinking = Now THAT seems a bit . . . ODD! Your "average" African Elephant eats about 600 lbs. of food and drinks about 50 gals of water per day. EACH. -- They also walk about 50 miles per day looking for munchies. --- The average herd can be as large as 100 critters. They also have no issues with uprooting trees and trampling everything under foot to get at those munchies. NOW, "upscale" THAT to one of those "Majestic Herds" of TITANIC Dinos (mixed or singularly) so often seen in one of those flicks placidly and contentedly indiscriminately eating their way across the screen. The Eggheads figure that just one of those Titanosauria (SUPER MASSIVE Sauropod) class critters would eat an average of > 2,000 lbs < of vegetation. With the "Lesser" plentiful Grazers (Stegosaurs, Triceratops, Ankylosaurs, Etc.) eating at least as much as an African Elephant. And the vast variety of smaller dinos (Duckbills, Corythosaurs, ETC!!!) eating about as much as a cow or horse (@26 plus lbs./day). NOW, picture a mixed herd of HUNDREDS (If not THOUSANDS!) of each of these classes of Salad Snakers wandering into one of those "Lush Jurassic Jungles" the same way you see in one of those movies or in a scene of their modern equivalents on the African continent. Anybody who has spent any time around grazing animals knows all about the dangers of OVERGRAZING any area. So, HOW THE HECK could the mixed and varied vegetation of grasses, shrubs and trees have kept up with their appetites and Bull-In-A-China-Shop meanderings even if it grew as fast as grasses???? --AND-- do so for the MILLIONS of years that these critters were around before that Space Rock showed up??? (I've got plenty of doubts and theories about THAT as well!!!) > I < HIGHLY DOUBT THAT IT COULD!!! === They would have completely denuded the land no matter how many miles that they wandered. Eating themselves right into extinction!!!! Yeah. I know. The typical Eggsplanation of = the T-Rexes and their cousins were there to "Help Maintain The Herds". === BULLSHITE!!! PREDATORS ARE FREAKING LAZY. = How many and how often have you ever heard of or seen a full pride of Lions or others attack and bring down an adult African Elephant, Rhino, or Hippo??? === Even > IF < T-Rex operated in PACKS (which I highly doubt, as having seen absolutely no evidence or even Egghead "theories" of such) HOW MANY TITANOSAURS which were so proportionally much LARGER than a Lion vs an Elephant, could these Dino Predators have ever hoped to kill and eat??? NO SIR! Just like those Lions, or Wolves, or Bears, or Etc., of our time, they would AMBUSH the EASIER and SMALLER prey first and foremost. And probably not even FINISH that meal in one sitting!!! STARVATION ~ MIGHT HAVE ~ acted as a better controller for limiting their numbers > BUT!!! < the Eggheads have found Titanosaur Nesting Grounds where SEVERAL HUNDRED females laid clutches averaging > 25 Eggs EACH <!!! === THAT IS ONE FRACK OF A LOT OF POTENTIAL SUPER MASSIVE CRITTERS!!! == These things weren't worried about running out of food anytime soon!!! So, > I JUST DON'T GET IT <??????? NONE of this makes even a lick of sense! And, search as I might, I can't find any Eggheads who have even BOTHERED to look at this question of Veggies versus Hungry-Hungry Dinos to come up with anything approaching even an Egghead "rational & logical" Eggsplanation. === WTH???? MAYBE > IF < somebody "suggested" that this conflict of prehistoric flora vs fauna might have affected

And That's One Giant Step . . . . BACK

What could be a more fitting way to commemorate INTERNATIONAL MOON DAY than to have NASA CANCEL yet another Moon mission??? NASA cancels $450 million VIPER moon rover due to budget concerns Yeah. Okay. This one is only ANOTHER worthless "scientific" expedition to that COMPLETELY MYSTERIOUS AND UNEXPLORED silvery globe in the night sky by yet ANOTHER of their OVER-PRICED POS WINDUP TOYZ and NOT their DEI-onauts, in a feeble attempt to "Keep Up With The ChiComs", . . . . . but "Cancelled Due To Being > OVER BUDGET <"????? NASA??? . . . REALLY?????? We ARE talking NASA the world's Biggest Money-Pit here, right??? . . . . I mean, they've ONLY already spent $450 MILLION on this boondoggle SO FAR, so what's the big deal??? . . . . I reckon the "Cost Overruns" of all of those mandatory DEI Classes must have finally really hit home!!! . . . Or the SwampRat Grifters get better kickbacks funding Ukraine!!! WHAT A FREAKING JOKE!!!! LOL Speaking of JOKES IN SPAAAAAAACE!!! It looks like Komrade Musky WON'T be riding to the rescue of those Boeing DEI-onauts who got themselves stranded on the ISS when THEIR DEI CONSTRUCTED POS broke down up there, any time too soon. --- Yeah. Remember THEM??? They're STILL THERE!!! Fixing Boeing's leaky Starliner — and returning NASA's stranded astronauts to Earth — is much harder than it sounds ROCKET SCIENCE! Who'd a thunk it??? . . . . Maybe, Trump can get them a ride on another Soviet Taxi??? Or will he really shake things up and go asking the ChiComs or EuroComs this time around??? THAT should "only" cost us a few Mega-Mega-Gazillion$$$!!! Reckon Komrade Musky might be a bit too busy moving from Hellifornia to Texas to be closer yet to all of that Quality Newly Imported Cheap Labor to bother FIXING even his POSs. SpaceX Falcon 9 grounded after second stage failure on Starlink mission Sorta "FUNNY" how the FAA & NASA BureauWeenies GROUNDED Musky's UNMANNED Toyz as soon as they developed a "minor" glitch, but still hustled that MANNED Boeing POS up into space even though they KNEW that it had some MAJOR ISSUES!!! . . . . I wonder if Musky "donating" MILLION$$$ to Trump's Campaign had anything to do with NASA's "Safety Conscious Decisions"??? . . . Or was THAT the real reason behind his "Sudden" change of heart towards Trump???? LOL!!! Yepper! It sure won't be long at this rate before we see the First Men On MARS!!!! . . . . They just sure as heck WON'T BE Americans!!!!! Just BTW --- Last night I watched one of those Giant Robot movies ( Transformers Dark of the Moon ) (Yeah. I don't know WHY! LOL) But I got a GOOD LAUGH when the Human Villian and Bad Robot Collaborator pronounced that HE and his MegaCorp kept us from returning to the Moon by simply MAKING IT TOO EXPENSIVE!!! (And here I thought that it was either those Little Green Men or those Darn Space Nazis!!! Silly ME!!! LOL) I can't help but wonder > IF < any FUTURE SF/F flicks will feature the Bad Guys using DEI as the major deterrent???? LOL . . . . . <SIGH!!!> ---------------------------------------------- Keep Er FUN! & WEIRDZ!!! Dan G

canceling
We canceled Amazon because it seemed like everytime we wanted to watch a movie they said they have they wanted us to rent it or buy it! It was like we were paying them to sell other people's movies to us. So we came back to Netflix again. For us, Netflix seems to be the best but I am NOT in love with them. I have never had any trouble canceling a subscription to any of the streaming services, whether is was a standard month by month thing or we were just trying them out. We have done a couple small places along with Amazon, Hulu,HBO and Netflix. We have found the RUKU works good for us, only thing is I really haven't taken the time to see what all is available on it as usually we find something to watch pretty easy. It seems like the "apps" for instance History Channel for free does have advertisements on it but they are few and far between and short at least so far. We had a BIG place to get DVD's just about a 1/4 mile from us, we used them a lot. We never ordered them through the mail. Also had one of those "Red Box" rental machines about 1/2 mile from us but I never used that. We LIVE for miniseries! LOL We have seen some damn good ones on Netflix, still got some to go that I know of. I never watch that political shit, it's all crap to me no matter who it is. I'll vote for Trump but I'm not going to listen to his BS either and that goes for the rest of them. Ron

I would much rather watch a movie than the garbage they put on TV but that is why we pay for NETFLIX ... I' m not wasting my time with their woke and stuid ass commercials. I LOVED Midway!!!!!!! YouTube Movie Releases
Just a HEADS UP if you happen to be DESPERATELY looking for something to watch. = One of the great things about whenever the DemoCommies need a MAJOR DISTRACTION is that the OFFICIAL BoobTube Movie & TV Channel will release a bunch of GOOD OLD and Newer movies! . . . . Considering the Dim's current state, the BoobTube has REALLY GONE OVERBOARD this time around!!! (GEE! I "wonder" WHY??? LOL!!!) YouTube Movies & TV Last night I FINALLY got to rewatch my VERY FAVORITE and VERY FIRST Sci-Fi/ Horror movie from when I was only a little shite of around seven or eight!!! --AND-- the inspiration for the first ALIEN film!!! (That has led to another of those "Franchises That Will NOT Die!!!" = Another is due out soon! YIPES!!!) Though in this CLASSIC the crew has NO ISSUES with -- Women ONLY playing servants and love interests to the men, -- The crew using pistols, rifles, grenades and a FREAKING BAZOOKA (!!!) onboard to save their ship (They just don't build spaceships like THAT anymore! LOL) -- and everybody smokes all of the time! (Which is probably WHY YT never dared show it before! <sigh>) It! The Terror From Beyond Space I ALSO got to watch that TRUE WWII NAVY CLASSIC . . . MIDWAY I think the last (First???) time I actually got to see that was while I was still on the USS HULL!!! === GREAT FLICK!!!!!!!! Tonight, I think that I'll be REwatching either SF/F-Horror = A SOUND OF THUNDER That JOHN WAYNE Western CLASSIC = TRUE GRIT Or . . . . . something with a bit of Comedy = SHANGHI KNIGHTS I reckon that it all depends on HOW DAMN MANY commercials I can stomach!!! YEAH! the "Price Of Admission" is the TONS of FREAKING COMMERCIALS they run every few darn minutes!!!! = In OUR CASE, that means having to sit through REPEATED DAMNED DemoCommie Fester Tester PROPOGANDA campaign adds throughout the whole flick at each and every break!!! === If I wasn't going to "vote" for that PIG before, I sure as all heck would NEVER "vote" for him NOW!!!! (They just NEVER LEARN when TOO DAMN MUCH is actually a BAD DAMN THING!!! === DEMOCOMMIES!!!!!!!!) ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Just BTW --- Have you heard that the DemoCommies are "Upset" and are demanding that the NOW ICONIC "FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!" Trump image get pulled from ALL SOURCES??? . . . . Yeah, it seems that they believe it "MIGHT" be "Helping His Campaign TOO MUCH"!!!!!!! LOL!!! >>> POOR BUGGERS!!!! >>> LOL ---------------------------------------------- Keep Er FUN! & WEIRDZ!!! Dan G

R/C
2
One can buy an R/C American Halftrack with a quad .50 in the back. The gun turns, elevates and shoots (noise only). It is driven by the tracks but the front wheels do work with it. Not a huge price, last I knew about $175 ... and yes, I DID own one. Very unhappy about both how it handled and the speed so I sold it. I have kicked around the idea of buying another one and going at it to see if I could "adjust" the speed one way or another. Since I only collect German WW2 R/C it would get treated/detailed as a captured piece of equipment. After spending most of my life riding bikes I can take one look at those single track machines and know I wouldn't care for either one. I finished (for now) the trailer for the tank hauler, I will start on the HT conversion of adding a 3 ton crane on the rear deck tomorrow. Ron

Just a quick note tonight, got a hell of a storm going on and I want to shut the computer off. I'll be working on the trailer tomorrow. Ron

Eggheads Hunting Selenites

Scientists discover underground cave on the moon that could shelter astronauts on future trips to space And they don't bother to stop for ONE SECOND to ponder just WHAT ELSE those lava tubes might shelter??? . . . . Or DO THEY????? I reckon that nobody is supposed to remember our Apollo 11 astronauts > WHO LANDED RIGHT BY THERE!!! < reporting how they were BEING WATCHED by . . . . "SOMETHING" (certainly NOT HUMAN) while they were farting around up there???? But just leave it to the Eggheads to want to go poking sticks into dark places!!! (Especially, if THEY can remain all safe and snug back home!!! Right???) What's next??? The Eggheads want the new breed of DEI-onauts to bring back a few pets for "scientific" study??? >>>>>>>>>> You want Alien massacres??? --- THIS is how you get FREAKING ALIEN MASSACRES!!! <<<<<<<<< WHY DOESN'T ANYBODY EVER ACTUALLY BOTHER TO READ SCI-FI TRAINING MANUALS?????????? ---------------------------------------------- Keep Er FUN! & WEIRDZ!!!
