? ?I've been in love with that OLD Disney version of the NAUTILUS ever since I was a kid!!! = I bashed one KINDA-SORTA (If ya closed one eye and squinted with the other and looked at it under twenty thousand leagues of sea water! LOL) out of a bunch of model and broken toy parts WAY BACK WHEN. --- Actually, it really wasn't THAT BAD for a newbie modeler. And, in all truth, it was A LOT closer to Verne's description and the paperback cover illustration that I was basing it on that I had BEFORE I ever got to see the movie.
? ?I was much later to learn that book was one of the VERY FEW reprints of Vern's 20KLUtS that ever actually included the ENTIRE WORK. = Including the complete description of the SCIENCE behind the NAUTILUS's propulsion!!!! (The Publishers cut it out thinking that it was TOO LONG & BORINGLY TECHNICAL!!! . . . . but left in a whole bunch other ACTUALLY BORING KRAP!!! Go Figure!? LOL) And the main MISSING component that gets all of these pinhead Johnny-Come-Lately Steamers thinking that Verne "invented/foresaw" NUCLEAR POWER!?
? ?What "Nemo" WAS DOING, was extracting ELECTRICITY directly from sea water via a chemical reaction. >> A process that was proven only a decade or so ago to be completely doable!!! << . . . though just not in the sufficient quantities that Nemo claimed or would have needed. > BUT!!! < who knows how far that discovery and the technology could have advanced if it would be given half a chance! = Verne's Nemo COULD BE RIGHT!!!!?
? ?Too bad that the "Renewable & Sustainable Eco-Friendly Green Energy" Egghead SCAMMERS are more focused ONLY on making China rich rather than actually perusing any form of TRULY SUSTAINABLE ALTERNATIVE ENERGY!!!! . . . .
