? ?My Wife long ago used to make this FANTASTIC herbal oil concoction and give me a rubdown that did absolute wonders! . . . . But that was in those long-gone "ancient days". Heck, the last time she looked, she couldn't even buy half of the herbs she used in that "Old Horse Liniment". (Probably outlawed by the Big Pharma who REALLY don't like competing with things that actually WORK and don't work harder at KILLING YA!) Been relying on HOT showers and Motrins ever since. Especially now with her being laid up, so as that I can't risk taking anything that might "slow me down". They really don't work worth a damn, but what are ya going to do??? = Carry On, Carrying On! I reckon.?

? ?Speaking of "Aching Backs" -- The other evening our traditional "Summer Grand Finale Storm" decided to show up about a week or two early. (Must be that dang Global Warming stuff! Right???? LOL) It blew up pretty darn good. Trees and powerlines down all over town. Though I don't recall seeing anything like "Major Damage". Just A LOT of cleanup work needing to be done. Fortunately, the temps have dropped from the last couple of weeks of "O-M-G!!! Record Setting 100 Plus Degrees!!!!" (BS! We get that EVERY BLOODY YEAR!!! = Internet adjusted Short Term Memories. = IDIOTS!) By way of apology, Mom Nature has dropped the temps down into a very pleasant 70s and even upper 60s trying to do her part in aiding the work.?
? ?We didn't get it too bad. Just a few downed branches that I've been hitting with my trusty old ax and manchette. (Teaches me to lend out my chainsaw to the boy!) But I had to feel bad for the younger gal on our south side. She had one of those darn "Weed Wannabe Trees" come down on her house. Nothing BIG. Just more of a leaner. And being as light and worthless as these Over-Grown WEEDS are, I don't reckon it could do very much damage if it tried. . . . Still, she came over to "Bring It To My Attention" first thing in the morning thinking that it was MY PROBLEM.?
? ?Had to explain to her (AGAIN like I've had to do every time that place gets new owners.) that the tree was on HER property and not mine. Along with a whole string of them running down our backyards. = FORMER owners kept telling me how they were going to cut them down so that they could build fences. > BUT < when it came down to it, they just built the fences on their side of the trees!!! = Figured that by giving up on those three feet of property line THAT would then make them all MY PROBLEM. === Yeah. "Nice Neighborly Folks" always happy to SHARE. Right????
? ?Told her to just call her insurance company and that they would have it all straightened up right quick. (They get plenty of practice around here every late summer.) = Sure enough. Everything was set back to rights of before supper time. . . . . Now if she just holds true to getting rid of all those other Weed Trees like she promised . . . . but I ain't going to be holding my breath. <sigh>?
