Pretty Cool! Mother Hen releasing and recovering a swarm of deadly chicks. --- I couldn't see fighters doing the retrieval phase, and I think that even carrying an armed gremlin might be a bit of a burden. Still, it sure could put an interesting edge on things.?I think that it's pretty neat how they are finally making an idea that they tried back in the 60s with the Lockheed D-21 launched from the back of the M-21 (A-12) actually work.?
Interesting vid on YouTube =

I wasn't sure what a Gremlin was. Now I know, it makes less sense to me for either plane to carry one. Why? If your going to launch it at a target no reason for it to come back ... and who would want one coming back to them anyway?

Yeah, I thought that the Gremlin was suppose to be designed to self destruct after mission completion type of system. Must be more of those pesky caps on military spending that's got DARPA wanting to be able to bring them home instead. Hey, everybody is into recycling these days. (LOL) Still, it does sorta make sense. Those Little Birds are rather pricey, and being able to pluck them out of the air would save on landing gear weight that could be added to payload. --- I for one, would sure like to watch them pull a whole flock of them back onboard. Gotta be about as good as watching an In-Flight-Refueling. --- To, ya gotta admit, for how many ages have folks dreamed of REAL Flying Aircraft Carriers??? = One Step Closer!?
