Rear tyres

 

Hi new on here !!, Just a point, I have a 02 W650, done 38 thousand miles ish, I havnt used it for some time, but would like to get on the road again,?
The roblem being, I cant get a new rear tyre to fit on the rim propery, Tried all the usual, lots of tyre fitting lube, and inflating to high pressure,? The bead will not blow out properly,? bought another tyre, but thats the same. Think this is the third tyre I have fitted, the others had the same prob but always wnet on in the end,? anyone else had this prob ?

Presuming you took a tire off, it must be possible. Is the wheel true in all directions? I guess you have tried obscene amounts of lube on both tire and rim. Is there rust or anything on the rim? Not that it should matter here but are you installing a new tube as well? It¡¯s a good idea.
