I'll pass, Here in Montgomery County Maryland during rush hour traffic is asking for trouble. Lots and lots of Motorcycle accidents accur over here frequently. Between women putting on there face while driving and others talking on cell phones it's scarry.

It's scary in every big city, and thanks to the explosion of available?automotive electronic entertainment, it's getting scary everywhere! I can't tell you ho many dash-mounted DVD players I see operating WHILE the driver is driving, often with no passenger!

For me, it is not whether to ride a motorcycle to work, or not, it is which motorcycle do I ride to work.

Crashes on the commute...serious enough to make the traffic report....

In Los Angeles, riding the Venture in to work, radio traffic usually notes 3 crashes, same thing going home..according to the CHP, LA has about 9,000,000 comuters passing through each day.

In Hawaii, Oahu (Honolulu County), usually 3 crashes in the morning, 3 more in the afternoon..island population of just over one million..probably 350,000 licensed drivers..maybe half of those at most on the road.

Jacksonville FL, on average 6 reported accidents with commuters in the morning..I don't see/hear the afternoon report.  Just over 1,000,000 residents, maybe 350,000 drivers..I couldn't tell how many licensed drivers..none of my co-workers has a license.  Riding here is Russian Roulette.
