This from the guy who doesn't get enough miles in and sometimes questions whether it's all too dreary to continue motorcycling?
Dick, how does the R1200GS differ from the 2007 R1200R, which is what an acquaintance has?

I went to try out the 800 ST as a possible replacement for the CB 1300 S at
some stage but not at the present. Having said that I made a really stupid
mistake when I got back to the shop I told the salesman that I had always
fancied a GS but that they were far too tall for my little legs. He asked if
I had tried the new R1200GS fitted with the new low seat option. Before I
knew it I was out test riding one and before too long I WAS IN LOVE..It is
probably the best bike I have ever ridden. Unfortunately I'm sure Sue will
think of 11000( all of them with a sign) reasons why I can't have one

Do you go for test rides because you are thinking about getting the
bike in question or is just a chance to have a ride on a bike that
you know you really won't buy but it is nice to see what it is like?
And are bike shops happy to this? I suppose they must be?
