Re: SE-35 St Peters Dome Access
Yep.....there's no lifting my 550lb bike over any gates.....LOL? ?I'd prefer not to hike that mile from the gate to the top....but I'm considering it! -- Jim Snider KE4YRX

Re: SE-35 St Peters Dome Access
Don't worry Fred....I don't go where I don't belong!? I've ridden up to Capilla Peak, but didn't bring my gear....so that's a return trip for sure. And I hate to be a bother, but can I get the full

Re: SE-35 St Peters Dome Access
One time I rode my e-mtn-bike all the way up, BUT is was tough to carry it pass the gate with the drop off on the cliff side. It was possible with a 50 lb. bike, but would take a crew to lift a

If it's locked or is posted I won't go through...or around it.? My bike is way too big for those kinds of shenanigans anyway....but I appreciated the heads up. -- Jim Snider KE4YRX

Re: SE-35 St Peters Dome Access
We have a good relationship with rangers. Please respect their gates/rules. If you want to summit on an off-road motorcycle, consider Elk Mtn, 8049, 9114, San Miguel, 8112, and Capilla Peak. - fd I

Re: SE-35 St Peters Dome Access
? Jim, Don¡¯t count on getting your motorcycle past the gate! Facing the peak, there¡¯s a drop-off on the left side and boulders obstructing the right side. 73, John K1JD

Re: SE-35 St Peters Dome Access
It¡¯s gated one mile from the old tower. The road to it needs high clearance vehicle and if wet wants 4x4. Great views! 73 fred kt5x Sent: Monday, October 21, 2024 12:48 PM To: [email protected]

W7A/CS-066 O'Neill Crater
Liked this activation as LOT. Short as in six tenths of a mile, but up 700 feet steep, good trail, wonderful views, but that's not all. Turned out to be covered by ruins dating from 500 to 1400 AD.
