There is a NEW way to access the 147.315 Repeater. This is to help out those of us on the fringe of HT/mobile coverage. This won't let you hear the repeater better, but it will help you get in.
That is, if you can hear the repeater fine, but are weak into it, try this. If you can't hear the repeater, this won't help,as the repeater still transmits the signal from Kessler Mtn.
This is a work in progress. Please be patient and this may not be a permanent?addition.
In order to use this, simply program a channel to the repeater as you would, but use a 110.9 PL instead of 97.4 PL. This receiver is located in Huntsville so it may not help you Benton Co guys.?
Also with our neighbor to the north, George, KJ6TQ Branson, we have become "Internet link partners" Don't let that scare you, it's a low use system during the week, much like the 147.315 is. They would be really glad to make your acquaintance and rag chew away into the night. A number of you probably heard the internet linked checkin's on the last Signal Net.
George has a net that we will be linked up for. It is a regular net on Sunday Nights at 7:30 PM Central. He connects his system to the BIG 145.490 SW MO Skywarn repeater system. I highly encourage everyone to check in regardless of age and/or Skywarn affiliation! It lasts 45 mins- 1 hour, then he will disconnect and we will be back to just George and us linked.
