iNTERFACE WITH HRD
#file-notice
开云体育Dave,I used the W4ELP program with HRD 6,7 Ver during the TDW Contest and it works pretty good. ?I’ve been helping test a beta version of his program that will greatly help PODXS070 members by looking up their member number from the PODXS070 website. ?You can access his program from this io.groups site by going to files/Beta/verM. ?I don’t know if he has it working for the latest HRD version or not, I know he has done some testing but only Ed can answer that. ?I really like his program and will introduce it to the PODXS070 io.group when we get the final feature working which is making a separate log of just NEW PODXS070 contacts for helping with LONP for members with numbers greater than 2784. ?There are many great features already in his program that really enhances HRD operation and I know you will like. 开云体育Dave,I forgot to mention, you will need to read his basic program instructions which is in Files also. ?There is another instruction in Files/Beta for the additional PODXS070 features. Best 73, Buz, WA5AMM? On Jun 12, 2022, at 12:33 PM, Dave Tucker Nu4N <dwtucker19@...> wrote:

Dave-
What are you trying to interface with HRD? If it's just the W4LEP Lookup program, that's in the Files section of the forum. As Buz mentioned, there's a Beta with some added features in the Beta Files section. That version will be changing often as I get the program tweaked. Right now it supports FISTS, NAQCC, PODXS 070 club and SKCC member lookups and separate logging for sprints. It does work with the latest HRD versions as well as the oldest. And it does include the ability to right-click capturing a callsign or contest exchange which is currently broken in recent HRD versions. 73, Ed - W4ELP |

Dave,
thanks for the interface. I am having a bit of trouble with V9.13, N3FJP FDLog 6.6.3 and HRD 6.8.0.89. I have setup per your instructions and am seeing callsign fill to N3FJP from HRD, but when I hit tab in HRD log after entering the call the RST "599" populates the CLASS in N3FJP and places me in the SECTION field. The Logging screen in HRD also has out of place boxes that I cannot tell for what.? It also is putting <QRP 10-100w> in some box as well.? even though I have unchecked all boxes in "Enhanced ALE Fields". Thanks, Gary KT7AZ |
Gary,
It should work ok. I'll check it with the N3FJP FD logger again to be sure.? The program does so some rearranging of DM7780 fields, depending on whether the "Contest Mode" box is checked in the DM780 ALE. Do a restart on DM780 to set the ALE fields back to normal, then restart W4ELP (CTL+ALT+R). In the setup window of W4ELP, Operating tab, uncheck the QRP flag box in the lower left corner. If checked, it's supposed to monitor your power setting in My Station and put a note in Comments if you're less than 20 watts. I thought rearranging the DM780 fields for contest or not contest would provide a little more intuitive layout, but it may be more confusing than it's worth. That "feature" may get changed back. If you need further help, I'll be glad to get together by phone or to do a Team Viewer session.?? 73, Ed - W4ELP |
Gary I found one problem already. I was emulating your setup with all the "enhanced" boxes unchecked. That prevents the Contest Mode checkbox from appearing, and you can't select contest mode! That's my fault - not yours.
In the enhanced fields setup, check the bottom box for comment field and hit Save & Restart. Then you'll have a comment box that you can type multiple lines as well as the contest mode checkbox. 73, Ed - W4ELP |
Just ran through some exercises and practice QSOs with HRD and N3FJP Field Day logger 6.6.3. All working ok.?
My program can be rather quirky until you get the hang of it, so don't give up - it'll work! As I mentioned, I'll be glad to help get you up and running if needed. You might want to email me direct at W4ELP.Ed@...?to avoid overloading everyone's mailboxes here. 73, Ed - W4ELP |
