ED- Get in touch with Paul W3PRL. He's a CCARC member and his contact info should be in the roster.? Paul operates a DMR repeater using his personal call sign and also operates DMR? with the same call sign.? He could help sort out how this gets configured so both a user radio and the repeater work with the same call sign.?? I submitted a ticket with RadioID and I believe they are going to create the account for me. On Sat, Apr 12, 2025 at 3:09?PM John Szwarc via <johnszwarc=[email protected]> wrote:

There is no problem using a single personal ID in multiple places, even at the same time. There is no technical reason we can't continue to use Rich's ID but I think it is best to use a club ID with the club callsign.
Thanks for picking up the ball on this one. I knew we needed to do this a year ago and it slipped off my plate. A single ID is enough, even though we have 2 radios and even if both radios are being used at the same time with the same ID. Having more than one ID causes issues if someone wants to call to direct or send a text message. The sender would have to know what radio and ID you are using in order to contact you. If you only have one ID there is no confusion.? |
