Mike- your Tsql- Tone squelch is both receive and transmit..

Years ago we had trouble with spurious output due to misaligned duplexers and a spurious lower rev level TX finals.To eliminate the transmitter POL getting into the receiver I changed the Transmitter pl to DPL either 071 or 073.(I forgot) .. It required programming the repeater itself, not the controller.
I can SSH into the controller. The Vertex repeater requires a RS-232 connection.
So you want to set Transmit tone only to 103.5 and Carrier Squelch (open) on recieve.. Or if you hear Ponca City or Topeka like I do (antenna Height) then you use Tsql but split tones..

I know there are problems with the GD-88 in the analog mode.. I know the touch tone pad does not work, I am not sure about PL tones. In some radios you do not type in the tone itself but an arbitrary number that points firmware to the correct tone.. Sometimes the translation table is defective..
