Minnesota Ham Radio #Winlink Wednesday Net #Winlink

I just came across a new Winlink net local to our neck of the woods. It's not the typical Winlink Wednesday check in and forget format and looks to be an interesting one to join.

Notice the dot com is separated instead of .com bc of 开云体育 message security settings...

I signed up for this, but I have reservations.? The instructions tell you to check-in with a reply all.? Depending on how large this net is, I'm not sure I want Hundreds of net check-ins spamming my inbox every wednesday.? I remain cautiously optimistic.

I second your concerns but it's new so I'll give it a chance.

I'll keep guard on the fort while you guys test the waters and watch for flooding.
I saved the link and will participate if our beta testers return unscathed ;)

Initial report from my first Minnesota Ham Radio winlink net.? As of 1745 I have received 9 winlink messages including the original question of the day. We shall see as time progresses.

I didn't receive anything...wth
Leon, was it just the sign up or did I miss checking in?

After signing up on the Minnesota Ham Radio Website on Wednesday an initial email is sent out with a question. Then everyone answers it there leisure and sends it with reply all. Come to think of it I didn't see your callsign in the To line. Maybe you fat fingered your sign up? IDK.

I must have fumbled the sign up on the first go bc this weeks WL was full of responses from #MHR. I would have to say that if this net grows it's going to become unusable for HF WL users due to the large number of messages to download. I was quite impressed hearing/seeing the download speeds on the W0AYE-10 gateway. Total there were 11 messages, 14130 bytes received, 9595 bytes/minute and 1:28 session time.
