Re: The Case for APRS
If it will be used and be useful, I agree with Mike, N0QBH and Ben, W0AYE.? We should change the HHS tower system to an APRS.? Since a VARA gateway is also imminent, I think it is a smart decision

Re: The Case for APRS
Even though I don't own a radio natively capable of doing APRS, I think this is a great idea.

No substitute for height or borrowed horsepower (digi), for sure. One other thought that occurred - did you have any sub audible tone enabled?
It should be off.
Ben & I have both done that. It still

Re: VaraFM gateway success!
I double checked that the gateway is functioning properly and tried to run an auto tune to your station Mike and had no luck. I also tried doing an auto tune to Dans station and had the same results.

Re: VaraFM gateway success!
Well, I and my station hear you and respond. You are not real strong (S2-3) but audio is pretty good.
If you have the meter screen with VARA FM running you can check your radios receive level.

I get the blue no signal with any ping or the drive level calibrations. I
hear the audio on the radio as static

Auto tune is you sending an accending series of 10 tones while my station listens. Then it replies to yours with the results.

Do you get the RX meter in VARA FM to the 1 O'clock position when squelch is open?
If not likely settings in the audio levels in windows.
