Re: VaraFM gateway success!
I double checked that the gateway is functioning properly and tried to run an auto tune to your station Mike and had no luck. I also tried doing an auto tune to Dans station and had the same results.

Re: VaraFM gateway success!
Well, I and my station hear you and respond. You are not real strong (S2-3) but audio is pretty good.
If you have the meter screen with VARA FM running you can check your radios receive level.

I get the blue no signal with any ping or the drive level calibrations. I
hear the audio on the radio as static

Re: VaraFM gateway success!
Auto tune is you sending an accending series of 10 tones while my station listens. Then it replies to yours with the results.

Re: VaraFM gateway success!
Do you get the RX meter in VARA FM to the 1 O'clock position when squelch is open?
If not likely settings in the audio levels in windows.

Dan, not long after I posted AYE took his -10 station off.? later, I heard someone trying to calibrate.
I'll leave my station N0QBH on in P2P VARA FM this evening.
If it hears you, it should respond

Thanks, but seems like that is how I have the digirig set up already. I had
done the drivers.
But nothing on the pings or auto tune yet. I'm hooked up to a Yaesu
FTM-400. I can hear it transmit. I may

Re: VaraFM gateway success!
W0AYE-10 is on as I type this. That's the gateway call sign.
Your VARA FM program running alone can do the setup.
Under settings / soundcard / autotune with W0AYE-10 to have it auto set the transmit

Here's some screen shots I just took of sending Ben W0AYE an email via Winlink and VARA FM on 145.690 MHz
Thruput today was mediocre and still almost 40k byte/min.

A Winlink VARA FM station in Willmar
There's an old saying that goes something like "once they've seen the lights of the city it's hard to keep the boys on the farm".
That's kind of what has happened to me since I started experimenting
