Thank You to All For Help With the Hamfest
It has been a few weeks since the Hamfest and we have all the proceeds tallied.? The Hamfest made a slight profit of $67.56. Attendance was low and I think that was a multifactor issue, advertising was slow due to confusion on my part as well as not being familiar with past operations. ? ? With that said, I want to thank all the participants that helped with: ? ·? ? ? ?- Set up and break down of the vendor area and kitchen ·? ? ? ?- Ticket sales ·? ? ? ?- Vendor Greeting and Assistance ·? ? ? ?- Narration and Announcements ·? ? ? ?- NIXA ARC for Amateur Exams ·? ? ? ?- Clayton Watson for his Meshtastic Presentation ·? ? ? ?- Scout Troup 48 for the Flag Presentation and Opening Ceremonies. And I want to give a special thanks to Bob and Harriett Myers (KA0RM & N0UDS), Cathy Bloomfield (KE0HHH) and Klista, Nevaeh and Marvin Parnell (N0MLP) for all the food preparation and food sales. Marvin was also responsible for the acquisition and setup of the Square credit card readers. ? And finally, I wish to thank Lin Pemberton (KB7CWV) for interfacing with the vendors prior to the Hamfest and organizing the layout. ? This year was a learning experience and hopefully it was just my inexperience that caused the lower turnout so that next year we can have a great comeback. ? 73, ? Lee N7LP ? |
