What did you all think of Carmilla. It was written several decades before Dracula and in my mind even more morally ahead of its time.?for the time. Was a fun read and I've enjoyed the movie adaptations. For further reading here's an article:
I'm friends with the monster that's under my bed.
I get along with the voices inside of my head.
 

My familiarity with Carmilla is limited to the Hammer Horror Karnstein trilogy of movies. I don't know how faithful they are to the novel, but the uncensored versions have their own special appeal.

The novel more hints at the movies, I think, but it's a neat read, being 20 years or so before Dracula it has the historical flare of one of the earlier Vampire Gothic novellas.
