Not working for me

Colin K7VIZ

Hi all.......

Trying to get VARA to work, but no joy so far. Here is my setup:

Icom Ic-7300 using a Windows 10 laptop with the latest version of winlink. No sound card since the 7300 has one built in. I¡¯ve used winmor successfully, but want to get higher speeds.?

I think I have everything configured correctly.....when I open a vara session and hit start, my radio keys up, I see wattage out thru my antenna tuner, so I know I¡¯m generating RF, but never connect to any rms nodes.?
At first I thought it was because I¡¯d always get the Channel Busy indication, but even with a clear channel and using multiple different rms nodes, I¡¯ve yet to get thru.?

Anyone here using a 7300 that could give me some assistance?

thanks

Colin?

Have you selected the correct sound card within the VARA application itself? There is a slider there as well for setting the correct levels.

Yes, I¡¯m using ?the usb codec option on the vara setup. I¡¯ve also set my alc as shown on the vara sound card setup screen. That what¡¯s puzzling to me.

Try this:
In the Set Mode Menu, go to CONNECTORS, then DATA MOD and select USB.?
