Are you using it with Winlink Express, or are you expecting to use it for other things? I've only used it with Winlink Express so could answer about that... if you are still lurking.

Thanks so much for the welcome. I'm really excited about the huge potential that VARA HF offers. I really want to take advantage of the information that the "Elmers" in this mode have to offer and share.

While I've been around in the hobby for a while, I've really enjoyed getting into the digital modes. I was going to buy a PACTOR-III modem, but now I'm not so sure. With the VARA HF mode sometimes even exceeding the reliability of hardware-based modems, I am willing to give it whirl before I make my decision.

I'm really hoping to learn a lot as I read thru the forum. Thanks.
