NEWTONs of Mecklenburg 1730s - 1820's

We have a DNA connection to the Newtons of Meck, but cannot find among them
a man who fathered (after moving to Orange, NC) a Robert Henry in 1818.

Wow! It’s been a long lockdown due to coved, but I’ve used the time well.?

Robert Henry Newton b. 1818 in North Carolina was pretty well documented in our family. He was father to our great grandfather, Periander Carlton Newton, b. 1842 in Robertson Co., TN. He, Robert, was a scholar of some note and written into biographical records. He married Martha Carlton Rowe (haven’t found record of the marriage), and they had a number of children.?

However, several researchers have tried but have not found Robert Henry’s parents. While isolating this past year and a half, I sent to Robertson, TN archives for every record they had on Newtons. Thru land records, I found that Robert Henry’s grandmother had come to TN from NC with several of her grown children.?

I traced them all back to NC and court case, lands and wills that point to Robert Henry as being the son of one of the brothers who moved to TN with their mother, Mary Riggs Newton and her husband, George Newton originally of Mecklenburg, VA.
I am so close… so close!?

All I need now is to find all of the children of George and Mary, and their children.?

Named in George’s will and other documents are: William, George, Isaac, Henry, Letitia, Robert, John, Sarah. Apparently, George, Henry, Robert and John were the Newton men who moved to TN.?

William may have stayed in Mecklenburg, while Isaac remained in NC. Still I need to know who among them had sons named Robert ?

I’m working on all of these people, but as this is Mecklenburg group, I’m asking about William Newton, b. Abt. 1766 d. 185? In Mecklenburg,VA
He is found on the 1850 Federal Census age 84.?

Other researchers have him married to Martha Sizemore.?

Any help in finding information re: William & Martha would be most helpful.?

Thanks, Julia?
