My family tree includes several Hatchell/Hatsell names. Specifically, in 1802, my great grandfather Archibald/Archer Cox married Mary Polly Hatchell, daughter of (James) Lewis Hatchell.
I am looking for the name of Lewis’s wife and Polly’s mother. I found that Archer and Polly sued a Nancy Hatchell over her father’s estate. It seems this Nancy could be Polly’s stepmother.
Archer and Polly named their first daughter Mary Thurman Cox, and I am wondering who she was named after too.
