Have you got Laidlaw-Dickinson's book on the Uni? Mostly ad copy, but some
interesting stuff. Mine is "Fun With The Unimat", and is just an outline,
at present.

Starts out describing the SL2000, Describes all the accessories, Then shifts
to the "New" Unimat #3, more accessories, How to set 'em up as a
mill/drill, In fact, looking my copy over, it's nealy all stuff like "how
to hold the workpiece in the chuck" & other similar deep technical stuff.
Sort of like cooking instructions on how to boil water.

No, but I got Wingrove's Unimat book 2nd hand....and while it might fit some
folks desires, for me it's worthless. All the good "old" books on
machining, modeling, and modifying that have some meat to them - like
Mason's books (printed until the '70s) on Using a Small Lathe (have) and
Building a Small Lathe (looking for) are hard to find now...

Could U some time list the topics / articles in L-Ds book to guide folks in
determining if'n they want it??
