Re: Indexing Attachment
I think the best all around "gear" for this indexing attachment would have 60 teeth. This would allow 2.3.4.5.6.10.12.15.20.and 30 divisions from one gear.? Did Unimat have a 60 tooth?

Re: Indexing Attachment
Nice work Dave! I built a worm dividing attachment a few years ago to fit on the headstock of my 7x16 MicroMark Mini lathe. It provides up to 360 divisions. A version of that could be adapted to work

Re: Unimat Red Badge?
This guy makes custom brass plates for machine tools. Ask him if he has artwork for your Unimat, or send him a sample and he probably can make it for you. Much better than a burnt outline with a laser

Re: Unimat Red Badge?
I would think any decent engraving shop with a laser could make you one by lasering a piece ot red anodized aluminum sheet stock. Hmmm, I have a laser. I'm a gonna get some of this and give it a try.

Ironic that we are discussing improvements to a cast iron-based manual tool that predates transistor based computers, CAD, CAM, CNC, 3d printing, nanotubes and telescopes in solar orbit.
