Re: Yoctosun Magnifier
I agree, the Optivisor and the Yoctosun are different beasts. The Yoctosun
is unbalanced in my opinion, the Optivosor locates well on the head.
I have both and the Optivisor is easier in use. Anyone

Re: Yoctosun Magnifier
Hello, John
The Optivisor and the Yoctosun magnifier are two distinctly different products. While they perform similar functions, Where they are made is not relevant to this discussion.
I don¡¯t care

Re: Yoctosun Magnifier
Even the Donegan optivisor can be bought cheap.
They sell two versions: one for hobbyists that costs under 50 bucks and one for "medical" that clocks in at $400.
I could not see any difference

Re: Yoctosun Magnifier
I am in the US.? Here is why Trump cannot make America great.? Optivisor is US.? Yoctosun is China.? Many will buy the Chinese product because it is cheap.? I will spend more for USA workers.?

Re: Yoctosun Magnifier
I bought the same from a UK supplier on eBay. It seems ok to me, and I wondered what you get for paying five times more for a real Optivizor. This model feels cheap, but it seems to do its job.

There are no end of choices.? Some are just regular glasses with magnifying lenses you can get in different strengths.
However, the Optivisor at the eBay link has been a top choice for a very long

Re: Yoctosun Magnifier
I purchased this from eBay and I am very satisfied with it. I don't like the ones with a light on the forehead. They are too bright for me.

They also feature rechargeable LED lights that illuminate what I am working on.
Price was very reasonable.

Yoctosun Magnifier
I just purchased a new Yoctosun Magnifier. It has interchangeable lenses and I wear them like glasses. Light weight and easy to wear.

Took longer than I thought it would, but I've found a couple more books that I have duplicates of. Should be of use to both of you. Need to tape the envelope closed, then will drop it at the post

Re: My first Unimat
I can see how somebody could consider it a "toy" compared to how many other machines are constructed.? Many hobbyists have never had the chance to use some high end precision machinery so they don't

Re: Small QC Toolpost for Unimat
Way back in Trade School one of my projects was to chisel a keyway in a shaft. It was tedious but it turned out great. That was the old way of getting the job done.
I am happy I had that experience.

My first Unimat
My dad gave me my first Unimat about 50 years ago. It was given to him by an old guy. My dad considered it a toy. It had all the bells and whistles. I still have it today and it stills serves me
