Re: Unimat 3 Mill/Drill Attachment Question
Dick, you have posted in the group 1,068 times. What, after all those posts, in my response caused you to think it was created by an AI? And if the site is run by an AI, what response did you expect?

Re: Unimat 3 Mill/Drill Attachment Question
OT, where is this comment coming from? I¡¯ve never seen any indication that AI is involved with this group. Best Regards John

Re: Unimat 3 Mill/Drill Attachment Question
I can't swear no one on the group is using AI. I'm certainly not, however. I do post from my cell phone, quite frequently, and do moderation tasks. Spellcheck, despite my efforts to prevent it

Re: Unimat 3 Mill/Drill Attachment Question
Is this group run AI? It sure looks that way.I am not at all interested in this forum if that is the case!

Re: IPad for CAD?
Hi Gang: One thing I didn't mention about OnShape, and other 3D programs, it is much easier to use with a 3D mouse. I use a 3DCONNEXION "Space Mouse". It allows one hand to spin the model while your

Re: Does the Unimat DB200 have Imperial threads or Metric
Thank you, Carl. We are on the same page now and I found my Unimat Tap and Die. I wanted to make some larger dials and that requires engraving on the dials. I can move forward now. Dick --

Re: Does the Unimat DB200 have Imperial threads or Metric
Hello Dick: The DB200 is all metric. The lead screws are M8x1 left hand. The small cap screws are M6 and the spindle is M12x1. 0.312" is equal to 7.92mm or M8. Carl.

Does the Unimat DB200 have Imperial threads or Metric
I¡¯m not sure if the DB200 has metric or imperial threads. I think it is imperial but am not sure. I measured the lead screw O.D. and it measures .312¡± which indicates it is imperial. I don¡¯t

Re: IPad for CAD?
Hello Dick: All the sketches are done in 2D and are parametric. It quickly gives you the answers to how big a part needs to be, etc. Parametric means you can say the part is twice as wide as it is

Ooh, the nostalgia. I used to love Autosketch 2.1¡. Wonderfully simple, straightforward and effective.

Re: IPad for CAD?
I'm sure that Onshape may be good - BUT, OP says he's looking for 2D CAD. Sometimes that is more than enough. I'm still using my copy of AutoSketch 9.0 which I purchased somewhere back in 2007 or so.

Re: IPad for CAD?
Onshape has a free personal subscription. With the free version your files are public for anyone to use, but you get a full 3-D CAD tool with no personal hardware costs (can be used with an ipad).

Re: IPad for CAD?
Hi Gang: I like OnShape. It is similar to Solid Works that I was trained on. Plus it doesn't take up any memory space on your device. Carl.

Re: IPad for CAD?
You can use Onshape with an ipad without need to invest in a new computer.
