Re: Plan for chuck plate please
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýDoesn't anyone known the bolt circle diameter or is it in some file?-------- Original message -------- From: jk_neus <jimk@...> Date: 03/31/2020 11:29 AM (GMT-05:00) To: Lionel <liolegall@...>, [email protected] Subject: Re: [Unimat] Plan for chuck plate please Try measuring across existing features - For example Measure the distance from the outside edge of the flange to the outside edge of the screw, then finding the radius of the screw and of the flange. Re: 24 VDC motors
I just run up the motor and filed a groove into the belt pulley to take a belt.

Re: Plan for chuck plate please
Hi ;-)
Thank's Matt and Pat I found this photo in the old forum , but il lacks a very precise essential dimension : the diameter of the centers of the holes (Red arrow)? , one for 3 and one for 4 jaw chucks . Here i tried to mesure (with a blow on a ball on the paper placed on the support, with an Euro coin as a reference - diameter = 23.16mm), but i find little gaps with each measurement ... For others dimensions, it's good ! A friend is making these peices (on a big lathe) for my SL : here is the progress : > Missing the tapping holes ! Have a good day, be save (here the outside life has stopped, totally..., Very strange...) Thank's ! -- Lio, France - Unimat SL x 3 |

I use my Unimat 3 for making all of the stuff that is too large for my Favorite 2 watchmakers lathe. Among other things I use it to make various tools, out of steel, brass, aluminium, Derlin, PTFE etc, although not out of wood. Below are some examples of tooling that I have made. Watchmaking often requires having to use tools that are either unavailable, too expensive or just take too long to arrive through mail. For example, I made all necessary additional parts for my Lorch, like tensioning device, the complete overhead drive for the milling/drilling attachment - mainly used for cosmetic snailing watch parts. Also made a WW collet adaptor for the Unimat 3 to allow roughing up parts before finishing them in Favorite 2 lathe, I had a suitable draw tube in my "junk" box just waiting to be used. There are too many things like watch and clock parts and tools made on the Unimat 3.
Cheers, Dushan

Re: Diamond bit for Glass
If you follow the link into the description, there's another link for another set of smaller sizes, 1/8"-1/2" with 1/8" shanks. ?~20$!

?Just this morning I'm using a 5/32 end mill to clean up the mating surfaces on a group of brass lost wax castings that build into a set of O scale trucks for express reefer railroad cars. Second piccy shows the instruction sheet for non railroaders who might not recognize the parts laid out on the mill table.
