Unimat also came in a gray color, I have the head stock of one in that color, it was a red badged SL. The much sought after Rust-o-leum Paint is not a exact match, I have used it for many years. The

That is not lazy, it's smart. Though you should be able to make a rotary broaching tool for the Unimats, as a number of folks have for mini-lathes.?

I agree with Ruben. I also have 3 db200/SLs and they're all different shades of green. And all of their motors are a different shade of green or blue green than the lathes they came with.? Paint them

I once had an SL E16 collet chuck that had a big run-out. Turned out to be a bent headstock spindle, once I fitted a replacement all was fine. Paul B.
