They do this every year.? Usually they compare years.? Did not see this on the report this year.? They always announced that they will try to have a much better year than last year, but it does not work out.? Thais will drink and drive drunk.? They have to address this first.

Coming from Korat to Chok Chai there is one main intersection.? The road from Korat is route 224.? It crosses Route 24.? 224 is North and South while 24 is East and West.? In the US odd number routes are North and South and even number routes are East and West.? I guess here they just assign a number.? You have to look at the sun to see if what direction you are going.

Traffic from BKK on the holidays come up north on route 2 and if you want to go to Buriram. Surin, SiSaKet and Ubon you are on 24 going through this intersection.

The light here is long, taking 3 minutes for all the right and left turns at the intersection.? Only a small % go into Chok chai.? 1%, I don't know but not much.

They have been planning for years to build an overpass so those on Route 24so vehicles do not have to stop at the red light.

On the start of long holidays and on the last day, the traffic coming up from BKK and then going home is a huge flow of traffic.

Last Thursday, the traffic coming from BKK was backed up a couple to three kilometers from the red light in Chok Chai.

I can't imagine how many red lights people had to sit through to get from the end of the line to the red light in Chok Chai with each light being at least a 3 minute wait. The highway is 3 lanes wide too.

It would drive me crazy to have to sit in that traffic.
