We periodically get a wind chill temperature reported which is higher than
the air temperature. Has anyone else noticed this?
Yes, it's caused by negative wind. :-)
I think you'll find that the WM918 reports wind chill to whole degrees
'C', but the actual temperature is reported to 0.1 degrees 'C' accuracy.
So, if it's calm, the wind chill can be higher.
Also, I'm not sure what formula the WM918 uses for its internal wind
chill calculation. My latest software is now calculating wind chill in
the program, based on the average wind speed over the past two minutes,
and a formula which is commonly used for wind chill calculation.
