I am seeking to find a copy of the precision mapping 9.0 software. I have been using pa7rhm maps with ui-view with windows 7 but have upgraded to a windows 10 laptop. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. 73

Hi Eddie,
If your happy with the PA7RHM mapserver, there is no need to change it. It works fine with window 10. I have Uivew with the PA7RHM plug-in on my Asus desktop which is running windows 10 PRO, I also have it on my Acer laptop which is running windows 10 home and on my Asus Transformer Tablet which is also running windows 10 home. Uiview32 with the PA7RHM mapserver works great on all 3, no problems at all. Best to make sure that Uiview32 is not installed in the main directory tree (in otherwords NOT in the program files directory). The PA7RHM mapserver does install (or at least part of itself) in the program files directory in the main directory tree. This maybe necessary (at least it creates no problems).
The only other thing you have to remember is to run Uivew32 with full administrator privileges. To do that just right click on the uivew32 icon and under the options window that pops up, choose 鈥渞un as an administrator鈥�. If you want you can click on the properties menu item in that pop up window and set Uiview32 to run with admin privileges automatically.

Thanks for the info. I had contacted the company and they no longer sell 9.0. They suggested I look for a used copy or try eBay. Haven't found a copy yet. 73

Thanks for the reply. I am wanting to use the nwsget add on with my new laptop. Pa7rhm does not work with nwsget and a copy of pmap 8.0 that I can get a copy of from a friend will not work on nwsget. Only 9.0 will work for my needs. Tried eBay with no luck. Thanks again for the info. 73

The only way to get Pmap 9 today is to copy someone else's DVD, or to look for it on the BitTorrent peer-to peer file sharing network.

I tried checking out the link and found it was not a full version. Pmap said they had no copies and to get a used copy or check eBay. I will also check out the peer file sharing. 73
