Hi everyone, this is my first post here. I am currently using UI-View32 + Windows XP + Nvidia Soundcard + home made audio interface (with 2 audio transformers and an optocoupler) + AGWPE software + ADI VHF base transceiver at low power + home made power supply + RG213 coax + slim jim antenna.
When I send a beacon (by pressing F9) I can see the VHF transceiver going into TX (as there are visual indicators on the rig), audio from UI-VIEW32 is transmitted as it is received 5 kilometers away by another guy (Ricky), however there is some problem and I bet it is that the PTT disconnects before the audio finishes and something else. I can see at 02:04 in this video () this ham's audio that looks like FM, mine looks more like some bad AM (). The result is that on Ricky's place his UI-VIEW32 does not decode any of this beacons. Furthermore I've tried to decode the beacons using another computer (also with Windows XP) and I had the same result (but as it was on the same location of the TX I though that can be a problem). After all that I installed the software in yet another computer (this one running Windows 7) to be the TX station and nothing changed or improved (but I cannot deduct the PC is not the problem as maybe I am doing some insufficient configuration of UI-View32 and/or AGWPE).
Many thanks
