No Internet

Good morning, come in the shack and noticed I am not receiving any stations via the Internet. My beacon is going out ok as I can check that on APRS FI. I have changed server and still the same. I am running windows 10 and everything has been fine. Anyone else having the same problem?

I got your call sign from your email address.

!call=G4KVI*

Which SSID are we talking about? perhaps G4KVI-1? It
appears to have been heard via TCPIP by G4KVI. Looking
at G4KVI, it appears to be connected to CWOP-3. If
it was e.g. a tier 2 APRS server, I would know how
to go to their status page and look at the filter
that you are using. Perhaps CWOP has a status page,
but I don't know where it is, so we will have to
rely on you telling us what filter you are using.
I have no idea what filters will work with a CWOP
server, but it might be a start.

OK... I found his page.

I tried going to a few times
but it wasn't CWOP-3. Ah... it seems to cycle through them
if I wait long enough! However, scrolling down, the status
page doesn't show filters for the connected stations.
I have no idea if the CWOP servers use filters.

Looking back at
you seem to be connected to CWOP-1, -2, -3, -4, -5 and -7
at various times. A few times you were connected to T2FEJER,
T2LONDON, T2MEXICO etc. so it is a moving target.

Why don't you try connecting to euro.aprs2.net:14580
for a while? At least there, we could look and see what
filter you are using... or you could just tell us.

Thanks for that, yes I seem to be sending but blank on the rx side. Just to clarify G4KVI comes form my weather software and G4KVI-1 comes from uiview, this is one that has the problem.

Just for info have tried turning off all my firewalls and still no joy.

OK, so G4KVI is running the "local server" and G4KVI-1 is connected to it. Is G4KVI getting any data from whatever server it is connected to?

What filter are you using? Try connecting to euro.aprs2.net:14580 and stay connected long enough for someone to take a look at it.

Most likely, firewall settings have nothing to do with this issue. You are
initiating communications from INSIDE your network. Normally firewalls are only
an issue when you are running some sort of server on your own system and want
to accept random connection requests from outside.

If you are connecting to port 14580 on ANY server, the server will accept the
traffic you send to it (i.e. your igated traffic from RF). However, the
server will send NOTHING back to you until you construct a filter expression
telling the server what to send you.

See this page on my website for the details on the filter settings:

<>

In UIview, these settings are entered into the "Extra log-on text" field at
"Setup, APRS Server Setup". Again, unless some sort of filter expression
is entered into this field, the server will not send you anything.

Well it's all back working. Not sure why it should of suddenly stopped but the cause was simple. The call sign sent with my weather data was different from the station setup callsign. Changed that to g4kvi-1 and back in action. Thanks for the help.
