Not sure what you mean by "built-in".?? Except for a few sample maps of the UK (where UIview was written) and a world map, all other maps are provided externally from other sources.
It's important to realize, as of 2024,? UIview has been a software "orphan" for 20 (!) years following the death of it's author in 2004.? From his death bed, he requested that the source code for UIview be destroyed. There will never be any repacks or updates of the main program. ? However, one can create maps from many sources for UIview.
For North American users, the no-brainer choice is to use Precision Mapping 9.0, along with the PMap Server 9 plug-in for UIview. This gives you a continuously scrollable view of all of North American (Canada and Mexico as well as the US) that can zoom down to street level. It is all stored on your local hard drive; i.e. no Internet access required.
Precision Mapping is no longer available for purchase (the publisher Undertow Software went bust a decade ago), but sources for download remain on the Internet.
