Re: server flter

Hi Rick,

I’m using 14580 port and was still having trouble. With some help from Pete over in the APRS group I got it figured out and going. I apperantly had something stuck out there somewhere. I cleared the filter text box, saved and reconnected to the server with no filter and got nothing, as it should be. I then put the command back in as FILTER r/34/-89/200 and it started working. Thanks for your response.

Re: My registration info not working

Hi Chuck,

Two things I can think of right off is make sure you got that big long number in exact. And 2nd make sure your not using the one issued for future expansion if that one was also given to you at the time of your registration.

Re: No Stations Coming on Screen

I did enter one one time but did not remember the right format. I now am up and running thanks to you. Just for information the filter definition page is not working as referred to on this website:

Did you configure a filter? IIRC, UI-View defaults to no filter which
means no packets from the APRS-IS.

Exactly! I actually asked Roger to incorporate this feature.
Thanks for pointing that out. I had actually forgotten about the setting for “receive only”. I can see now that there is a good reason for it to exist.
