It's an FTDI chip - the best and most stable.? Drivers available for nearly all platforms -- Windows, MacOS, Linux, etc.? This will be exactly the same driver as an external USB<-->serial dongle

All they did was insert an FTDI serial<-->USB chip inside the box, in front of the existing serial circuitry.? The net effect is exactly the same as? using an external serial<-->USB cable dongle on

Looking at the spec it's just got a USB UART on-board (not sure which chipset), so should appear as a COM port. Only requirement will to make sure it¡¯s within the COM port range UI-View supports
