Thank you for the support!
As we start the new year, we would like to say thank you for those that have renewed, donated, or assisted in making this system a success. This week we added a new site in Litchfield! Although it's on a temporary antenna, it still closes up a gap on 295. Your memberships and donations have made this possible, along with helping with our recurring monthly expenses. Those that have not had a chance to renew, you can do so at ufbnewengland.com. Again thank you and stay tuned for our next addition!

A fun on-air activity, SKYWARN Recognition Day (SRD) is a great way to interact with other SKYWARN volunteers around the country, including those operating from NWS Offices, and many others. Contacts on all amateur radio bands and modes are welcome. It's like a contest, but without the scoring. We'd like to have some operators at the NWS Gray station this year! Simply choose a band, mode, and time slot, and operate as WX1GYX for that period of time. Electronic logging is recommended. After the event, please send your logs to: kb1hnz@..., and we'll merge them into a single log for submission. WHEN: December 7th from 0000Z to 2400Z (7PM Dec. 6 through 7PM Dec. 7 local). WHERE: From the NWS station or Remote (from your home QTH). EXCHANGE: Current weather observation (typically something brief, like the temperature and conditions, like: "40F and Partly Cloudy." 2025 Membership Renewal
Good morning and Happy Veterans Day. Thank you to those who served this great country. At our last meeting we voted to change the club's fiscal year to January 1st to December 31st. In doing so all 2024 memberships will expire December 31st. We did add a "grace period" for those who have paid dues since October 1st, and those folks are good to go for the rest of this year and all of 2025. If you have not paid dues in the last several weeks and wish to stay current, you can pay them now and that will cover you until December 31st 2025. As always, the Pay Pal link on the website: ufbnewengland.com is the easiest way to pay, I just gave it a test run to make sure it works. If you have any questions please reach out. Thank you again for your membership and continued support of this group. Scott Routhier Club Secretary KC1OCD

Tuesday Skywarn
Hello UFB New England group. We are looking for more Net Controllers for our Tuesday Night Skywarn Net at 1900. It is a little different then the Sunday net as it does require a little documentation of weather reports and stats. No need to be a spotter, but the class is worth the time if you can. If you are interested please contact myself, or Larry N1YMM. Scott KC1OCD

KB1VTL (443.450MHz FM & C4FM) in Kensington, NH offline
In its place, W1WQM'S UHF Yaesu DR-2X repeater is using its antenna and connected to the UDB New England network. Please use 444.400 MHz + offset and 100hz PL if want analog mode for signal report testing. Analog squelch tail is set for 1 second to be able to check S-meter strength before it stops TXing. Dave, N1FCC owns the KB1VTL equipment and is currently out of the country. So no estimate of down time at the moment. 73 Kriss KA1GJU
