Upper Delaware Community Network [email protected]
Welcome to the Upper Delaware Community Network!
The UDCN is an online group whose purpose is simply to connect us:
?
? to each other,?
? to community organizations,
? to the resources and needs of people and the community,
? to our precious environment, and?
? to our selves.
?
It connects us by inviting its subscribers—now over 1,300—to post on the Network as you would on a bulletin board, but with an added spirit of community: neighbors meeting neighbors as we trade together things and information, play and gather together, learn and educate each other, seek help, offer help, recommendations, buy or sell or barter, announce art and music events, the needs of people in need, etc.
?
It is a place to become educated and informed about whatever is happening in our world, here, so that we can make it better.
?
It is a way for people to meet and support each other, a place for common interests to emerge and natural connections to be formed:?a way to build community.
But it is NOT a place for back-and-forth discussions.? It is not Facebook. Once the connection is made, further conversation needs to take place privately. Nonetheless, the Network also hosts chat rooms, where conversations among smaller groups of members take place.?
