Have the kriegsspiel rules—1824, which is packaged with the 1828 revision,?and just bought the 1862 rules. Which is better for American Civil War? Rifles but not yet needle guns in that conflict. 1862 is, therefore, out as written, but could they be modified? If so, how? 1824/1828 rules are both for smoothbore, right? Better to modify these rules ‘forward’ in time? How?
