I am working on it but have just started. I tried PLATOON FORWARD campaign rules, but they didn't work out. I am trying TFL campaign rules AT THE SHARP END, the OPERATION WINTER STORM? Stalingrad campaign and Two Hour Wargames' NUTS! WW2 rules because it has NPC rules for opposing forces. None of the TFL rules nor the campaign books provide for solo play other than run the enemy as you would expect an opponent to do so. No weather or night rules either in CoC which is awkward in Russia. I added those from yet another rule set changing its Spotting rules from its 1" = 5 meters scale to CoC's 1" = 3 meter ground scale. I expect those to work fine. The old WRG 1925-1950 rule's spotting table could probably be converted to CoC. The flare and weather rules as well. Contact me directly if you have any questions or concerns. I didn't see any helpful answers yet.? ???? Mike Reese |
Hi Michael
I have? both COC & NUTS? and the idea of incorporating the NPC Reaction Rules to make solo gaming? possible is an interesting idea within the COC games. I like the Campaigns from TFL and? as give substance to the games? and prior to Lock-down my brother? and i were playing Winter Storm. Like to see how you get on as? a good idea and mechanism is a good mechanism as far as i am concerned to enhance? gaming? If lets you play solo during the difficult times then that is also good:) Stay Safe andrew |
I agree TW&T would also be a good rule set for Solo.? So would IABSM!, AoF, and FOW for that matter. Am trying the Campaign to provide the flavor.? First scenario is an ambush of a simulated (since only a platoon is carried) troop train of Panzergrenadiers by Soviet partisans, at night.? It was the night rules (one scenario book suggests limiting spotting to 12" for night rules) and what does my opponent do that was the question. NUTS has a NPC offensive and defensive table to randomly determine the NPC actions. Michael Reese |
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI personally find that the card-driven rules just solo better.? And I¡¯m a bit daft, I make up the blinds and give them to the Mrs to shuffle.? The blinds then I lay them out left-to-right without looking.? Makes for some unique deployments. ? Sent from for Windows 10 ? From: Michael Reese

Hi. Bit late to the conversation. Take a look at Albedi Conbat Patrol via Sally 4th. During lock down they set up a solo campaign, with rule and guidance on how the NPC forces would react. Including ideas on whether they would regard themselves as winning or losing. Then on how they would react based on that. May contain a couple of ideas to help. Regards Ian |
