TinyTrak4 Setup as Digipeater
Good morning:
?
I think this is my second posting about this question.?
?
I have a TinyTrak4 and would like to set it up as a portable Digipeater to cover some of our public service events.
?
This would be a digipeater operating on the standard 144.390 mHz frequency digipeating signals from event units.? My hope is to have the portable digipeater set up somewhere to get weaker signals from units digipeated so local Igates to get the positions on aprs.fi.
?
I have the TT4, a radio, PS, and antennas.? All I need is the configuration for the TT4.
?
Searching YouTube and the rest of the Internet I have to been able to come up with anything, not even generic digipeater settings that I could experiment with.
?
Any help appreciated, thank you.
?

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI agree. It would also be nice for others that use it for tracking only to post their settings also. ? ? Jim, N8JE ? From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Joe Sammartino via groups.io ? Hi Chiefsfan2, ? If you have a setup list, many of us can benefit if you post it to the Group. ? Although not affiliated with Byonics in any way.? I thought I would add a comment posting size. Posting entire configuration files when so many of the settings are "personal" is a bit much. Most of these group.io forums are free, but if users get carried away with space it may change. We should respect the size of things we post. One example of reducing posts size: ?? If BNKMODE = 0, the entire BANK 1 is half the file and will be unused.? ?? If you only post BANK 0, that would reduce what others have to "sift through" and save space. I know a lot of users want to see the whole configuration file, but that takes up a lot of space. For most 'sub-feature' there are only a few setting in the TT4 Alpha firmware that control them. Posting those setting would answer the question and reduce space. As an added comment, I highly suggest that any DIGI setting enable DIGIMY as this is the best way to test you DIGI settings without "lighting up" all the other DIGI radios in the area.? I believe both files had that set. Robert Giuliano

When BNKMODE =1 then the state of JP1 determines which bank of settings will be used by the TT4. NOTE: JP1 is also connected to J1 (Radio/Power connector) Pin 4.?? ?? That means you can "externally" switch between 2 settings. ?? BANK 0 settings when JP1 / J1 Pin 4 is floating (pulled high inside the micro) If you build your own cable, a small toggle switch can be placed inside the DE9 connector back shell to switch the state of J1 Pin 4.
