Legacy TT files
I will suggest the Groups.IO again.? There is a files section, WIKI, and someone could possible think of a way to use DataBases. I realize these are limited with a free account, but you could always link to another (free) site if you need more space. Robert Giuliano

I've still got a TT1 in service as a bit of a test aid, mainly for setting radio deviations from something handy. I've also still got the various TinyTrak 1.4 hex, config, and manual pdf files, and also DK7IN's varient 1.6 which added smartbeaconing, but removed the test tone setting parts, as PIC code space was very limited on the PIC16F84. Also have the TinyTrak2 config program, if someone has one and wants to reconfigure it, but can't fine their download of the config program. Allen, might it be an idea to have them added to a Byonics support page for obsolete hardware, as I couldn't find them on the website? -Ian ZL1VFO |

Is this a TT1 or TT2? This came from a Japanese web page and my Japanese is really rusty

Allen,
Having been directed to that old, archived Byonics website by the last post reminds me of something I've wanted to comment upon.
I don't believe there are any files available (text and executable) on the Byonics website about any TT products before TT3.? There probably are those files, perhaps appearing in a disorganized and less than optimal way, stored here on this very
Groups.io.? I just took a look for them and it is not a snap, by any means, to find them.? Lingering adverse effects from the demise of Yahoogroups I guess.
If I'm correct in saying they're not at Byonics, I think they should be.? At least some note about where to find them could be there, but why not actually have them there arranged in a cohesive manner just as they used to be?? They could be tucked
away in a less prominent place on the site and clearly identified as obsolete products or however you want to label them.

I have an original TinyTrak, in Kit form, still in its envelope. Never got around to soldering it up. I come across it now and then. I am not even sure if the PIC is programmed.

I think that is why I got the assembled versions of the TT3Plus and the TT4. I am not a very active user. They spend most of the time between usage. :-) James On 12/06/2020 23:49, Allen Lord wrote:

Yell out if you can’t find the config files.

I
have one of the TT-1s. I was one of the beta testers back in the stone age, and
still smile when I see my call in the documentation. I need to get a new GPS for
it, as mine is one of the equally ancient Rand McNally GPS units.
?
I
do need to make sure I have the configuration program somewhere!

My first Byonics product was also a PicPac.? Decoded pretty well for the time, and had a nice display.? I used the display on another project, but the reassembled it for a demonstration I did.? I came across a KE4NVY website with some old Byonics info:? It includes stuff on TinyTrk I/II/III and PicPac as well as other APRS and packet stuff. Robert Giuliano

Many on this list must be smiling along with me right now.? What a youngster you must be, Allen.? ?:) That's an easy question (falsehood) to answer (correct).? TT1 and TT2 came before.? From what I understand all the dinosaurs had already left Vegas by that time.? Plenty of lounge lizards are still around, though; they will never become extinct and will happily roam the earth until the end of time. ______________________________________________________________________________

Hank, As far as I know, there were no Byonics products prior to the TT3. Do you mean the old SOTT files out there on the Interweb? Byon handles the webpage, and sees all these posts sonner or later, so he may have a better idea what you are after. I am a "newcomer" with Byonics, working with Byon for about the last 15 years. When Byonics was in Las Vegas, and dinosaurs?roamed the earth, would be better questions for Byon. 73, Allen On Fri, Jun 12, 2020 at 9:37 AM Hank Riley via <n1ltv=[email protected]> wrote:
