I don't want mainstream news much (CNN...national stuff).?
I do watch local news (Boston).? they don't concentrate on a ton of?the national stuff and I want to know what is going on around me directly.

But I do pay attention online.....tik tok....you tube.....
Paying attention to other country's news (like the BBC).? We are sooooo hated by other countries.?
Not us personally as people but our government.? We are making enemies and will soon be all on our own in the world.

We are at about that now and the 1930's is happening right here before our very eyes......

I have taken a huge hit with the stock market.? Thankfully not all my money is there but some is and it was doing great but now it is horrible.
?
My bills are paid through?a trust but I live on my social security.? My every day spending....food, gas, etc is from my social security check.
?
My car is paid for but it is?8 yrs old.....I will need something new eventually.? Hoping to wait as long as I can though.?
With the way tariffs are, it is either get one now....immediately or pray the car lives another 4 yrs or more.

I have been so proud of being able to make my car payment myself and not have to take any money from our main account. ? ? Hope we don’t lose Medicare either. ? My goodness, they are really out to destroy our lives. ? I don’t see new plans coming out so they’d better NOT mess with either SS or Medicare even though I know they want to and are planning on it. ? ?There will eventually be the Haves and the Have Nots classes. ? I’ll be in the Have Not class for sure. ? ?Only the rich will be in the Haves.

Chris just texted me about the gas bubble in his eye. ? I guess it’s dissolving now and he was worried about it. ? ?When he saw one of the doctors last week, he still had 90% of it and she was surprised as she thought it’d be less. ? I think it dissolves differently for each individual and he is just fine. ? ?It’s good that this is happening as hopefully it has helped close the retinal detachment. ? Chris has another appt next Wednesday. ? ?

It is another gorgeous day here in Ohio.? Yesterday when I had to go?to the eye?doctor, I was wearing shorts and a tshirt.? I am in heaven.? Wearing shorts again today?and I might wear them again tomorrow.? I guess we will see how the?weather is when I?go get my?tatas squished.

Nothing going on as usual.? I lead such a boring life.? I have done my chores and laundry is currently going.? I think I will have three loads this time.? Usually I only have one a week.? I only do the towels about once a month since we have so many and I want?to do a whole load instead of a few towels.? Also have a few sheets to do.? I?use a fitted sheet on my?chair (was my mom's) and it is light off white and the cats leave black hair?all over it.? That is why I use the sheet.? I also use a fitted sheet for a table cloth when I have all the kids.? It also keeps all the cat?hair?off the actual table.? Duane and I don't even sit at the table anymore.?

I have been a stitching fool the?last?week.? I am on the fourth cat on my rainbow kitty project.? I am moving along much faster than I thought I would.? I am going to have to start looking for something to keep me busy when it is finished.? I have a few best friend things I want to do to hang with Holly's?picture.? The 19th will mark a year that she has been gone.? That is going to be an ugly ugly day for me.

No way hospitals would have a unit like that taking up space....?

Where I worked started out as a nursing home.....when I first worked there a million years ago (I was there over 30 yrs)
Over the years it turned into more an extended care facility (the name even changed)? we made the locked Alzheimers/dementia memory care unit.....there was a rehab unit for short term rehab and there was one more medical unit for long term patients in comas, etc....

I was the head nurse on the Alzheimers/dementia unit

Have you noticed a change at the VA yet since they fired so many people?
?
It is still way too cold to plant around here.....plants are not even available yet.? I can remember a blizzard on April 1.....not normal but it can happen
We cannot have more snow though....I put the shovel and boots away  ? Normal temps for this time of year is the 40's.
Might hit 70 on Monday they say.
But it goes back into the 30's at night (it is 36° right now)
I do love having widows open during the day ?

Marc cannot hear and has a problem with his hearing. ? He has hearing aids but there’s something wrong with one and he won’t wear just one to help him hear. ? I told hm I will carry his wallet from now on (if he finds it). ? If he doesn’t find it, it’ll be the second time he has lost a wallet within just a few months. ??
Took Marc to get some blood work done at the VA this morning. ?Afterwards, we went and had breakfast and came home. ? Marc had misplaced his laptop and, of course, I found it right away. ? It was sitting on top of his printer. ?I swear his vision is not nearly as good as he thinks it is but they tell him he has Perfect Vision now. ? ?If so, why can’t he see things??? ?I certainly don’t understand this at all. ? ?He loses things and I usually find them. ? ?Hoping his wallet will appear soon.
After breakfast we came home and took a container of purses I am going to donate out of the back of the car and headed over to Lowe’s. ? We got 8 bags of mulch for out front and 4 bags of planting soil as well. ? ?I brought home only 2 little flowers that I thought were pretty. ? They are Lemon Drop Calla Lilies and will be put out front. ? ?We need to go to another place that has flowers, shrubs and trees as we need to get another tree for the other side of the driveway and I want to look at flowers and think how I want to plant them. ? ?I am thinking of just using pots to plant flowers in and this way I won’t have to worry about anything else. ? The pots will look nice wherever I decide to use them. Anyway, not headed out again and we might do some of the mulch later today or in the morning when it’s a bit cooler. ? I also want to do the garage door. ?I have magnetic stick ons to put on. ? Hoping to make it more interesting than it is right now. ? It’s just plain now.
Will have to get more dirt as well. ?And we really need fertilizer as well. ? Supposedly, we are coming into the ‘rainy’ season here but NO rain thus far. ? WE really need it as well are under a Fire Watch now. ? Everything is terribly dry.
Anyway, that’s my day so far. ? Am going to do some laundry as well. ? ?Enough for now.
Marc just came to me and asked me to check the emails he got so he’d know what to do with them (mostly delete). ?Always something. ? Better he does this though than mess thing up for us. ? ? ?He doesn’t know how to use the browser anymore. ? ?His mind is really going.

Robotic surgery is gaining popularity, and it seems like a great option for surgery. Surgeons are still there, but I think robots are better because they’re super steady and precise. The surgeon just guides them.
By the way, did they use robotic surgery at the hospital you worked at, Donna? Was that where you had your bypass?
I had my gallbladder and hiatal surgery done through laparoscopic?surgery. I have a bunch of small cuts all over my tummy now, including one in my belly button.

Surgery was around noon and he was in recovery till 5 ish and when I called they were just settling him in his room. I am going there for 9 ish and expect he will be send home unless something came up over night.
This is his 2nd time and the doctor said at his age they may as well do it again so he can enjoy the results from it for his last few years.....lol?

I later found out all they wanted was the keys to the high end cars parked outside. To me they look like the same group robbing jewelry stores recently. Same clothing and hammers.

Surgery for it is pretty simple and? think they just kept him overnight because of his age.
He goes to a urgent care clinic in 10 days to have the catheter removed and then see's the doc within the next month for a check up on how things are. It will probably be a phone visit.

It also talks about removing Civil Service people and putting Trump people in its place. ? ?Sadly, what happens in the government trickles downhill. ? ? Trump is putting people who are loyal to him into government positions and all of them are wealthy. ?The more wealth, the higher up they are. ? One of his cronies said we are in the second American Revolution. ?It has begun and of course if the Democrats don’t play along, there could be bloodshed.
People don’t care about other people nowadays. ?They care about themselves and maybe their families but no one else. ?It is very sad. ? ? If you upset someone, you just might die. ?And the only People who would care are your immediate family members. ? ?Bad things?that happen makes news. ? Good things do not. ?I don’t watch the news but do read about what is going on in the world (especially America) via various sources. ? ? The Slatest is a good source for one. ? ?BBC is another. ? Let’s hope it doesn’t go away. ? So many people rely on it including me. ? It enables me to make my car payment every month. ? I have been so proud of being able to make my car payment myself and not have to take any money from our main account. ? ? Can’t afford to lose SS as I would lose my car as well and we only have one. ? Not sure what I would do.
Hope we don’t lose Medicare either. ? My goodness, they are really out to destroy our lives. ? I don’t see new plans coming out so they’d better NOT mess with either SS or Medicare even though I know they want to and are planning on it. ? ?There will eventually be the Haves and the Have Nots classes. ? I’ll be in the Have Not class for sure. ? ?Only the rich will be in the Haves.

I do a lot of laundry all together if I don’t have a big bunch to do. ? And it’s usually Chris who has so much to do, not me. ??
Chris just texted me about the gas bubble in his eye. ? I guess it’s dissolving now and he was worried about it. ? ?When he saw one of the doctors last week, he still had 90% of it and she was surprised as she thought it’d be less. ? I think it dissolves differently for each individual and he is just fine. ? ?It’s good that this is happening as hopefully it has helped close the retinal detachment. ? Ah, sorry. ? ?I knew you ran the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Unit and thought it was in the main hospital. ? My mistake. ? ? All clear to me now. ? Thanks, Donna. ? ??
Marc cannot hear and has a problem with his hearing. ? He has hearing aids but there’s something wrong with one and he won’t wear just one to help him hear. ? I told him one is better than none but he still won’t do it. ? ? MEN can be so difficult. ?Marc is getting a lot worse. ? He has lost his wallet yet again. ? This is the second time. ? I think he’ll find it eventually. ? Also, he lost the telephone…. We have one handset missing and he can’t find it either. ? He was talking on it yesterday. ? Frustrating. ? I have his Military ID and Medical Card but he had everything else. ? ?Not sure if we should cancel credit cards or what so I am going to check them and see if there are any charges I know we did not make. ? ?Drivers license is in that wallet, and just a couple of credit cards and his new VA card….GRRR. ? I told hm I will carry his wallet from now on (if he finds it). ? If he doesn’t find it, it’ll be the second time he has lost a wallet within just a few months. ??
Took Marc to get some blood work done at the VA this morning. ?Afterwards, we went and had breakfast and came home. ? Marc had misplaced his laptop and, of course, I found it right away. ? It was sitting on top of his printer. ?I swear his vision is not nearly as good as he thinks it is but they tell him he has Perfect Vision now. ? ?If so, why can’t he see things??? ?I certainly don’t understand this at all. ? ?He loses things and I usually find them. ? ?Hoping his wallet will appear soon.
After breakfast we came home and took a container of purses I am going to donate out of the back of the car and headed over to Lowe’s. ? We got 8 bags of mulch for out front and 4 bags of planting soil as well. ? ?I brought home only 2 little flowers that I thought were pretty. ? They are Lemon Drop Calla Lilies and will be put out front. ? ?We need to go to another place that has flowers, shrubs and trees as we need to get another tree for the other side of the driveway and I want to look at flowers and think how I want to plant them. ? ?I am thinking of just using pots to plant flowers in and this way I won’t have to worry about anything else. ? The pots will look nice wherever I decide to use them. Anyway, not headed out again and we might do some of the mulch later today or in the morning when it’s a bit cooler. ? I also want to do the garage door. ?I have magnetic stick ons to put on. ? Hoping to make it more interesting than it is right now. ? It’s just plain now.
Will have to get more dirt as well. ?And we really need fertilizer as well. ? Supposedly, we are coming into the ‘rainy’ season here but NO rain thus far. ? WE really need it as well are under a Fire Watch now. ? Everything is terribly dry.
Anyway, that’s my day so far. ? Am going to do some laundry as well. ? ?Enough for now.
Marc just came to me and asked me to check the emails he got so he’d know what to do with them (mostly delete). ?Always something. ? Better he does this though than mess thing up for us. ? ? ?He doesn’t know how to use the browser anymore. ? ?His mind is really going.

Surgery was around noon and he was in recovery till 5 ish and when I called they were just settling him in his room. I am going there for 9 ish and expect he will be send home unless something came up over night.
This is his 2nd time and the doctor said at his age they may as well do it again so he can enjoy the results from it for his last few years.....lol?

Yes all is well...... Hubby had a TURP which is a reaming out so he can empty his bladder instead of bits every 20 minutes. Your hubby will get there....lol Its a man thing. ?

It was a beautiful day...... ?Almost no jacket weather
I took hubby to the hospital this morning and surgery was at noon. He just got into a room so he is there for the night.
I made some pasta and will call that supper......lol

This world is going in the toilet and I don't mean anything to do with politics.? People are just beyond mean and cruel.? The things I hear about or?see on television on a news brief just kills me.? There is something seriously wrong with people these days.? I don't watch the news at all just because it is just so depressing.

I will just keep my nose out of?other peoples business and affairs and just stay in my little bubble and be as happy as can be.?

Oh my i would be so pissed if that were me. All I had to do was call and say that wasn't me and they came off immediately. I have also had it where I had a subscription? had cancelled but they kept sending to me so I was also paid back for those. Guess I better be happy my bank hears me......lol?

oh my goodness do you even know that place ? When that happened to me it didn't cost me anything. They did get 2 charges through?for phones or phone service and they stopped the 3rd one but luckily i had to pay nothing. It was taken off right away.

Well, it has been an interesting afternoon so far.? I was checking mail, specifically my bank account, and was alerted?about?fraud on my account.??Someone used my card at Monopoly.com and they tried to charge $951.? Thankfully all but one charge was denied.? I had to go through the fraud department and now there will be an investigation to see if they can?prove it was fraud.? If not, I will be responsible for $301.? Guess what I do NOT NOT NOT have.? I swear I am going to go?back to old school and write checks for everything.

Anyway, it is a beautiful 61 degrees outside today.

I am going to do my litter boxes and then probably some laundry, but not sure yet.?? Really, I would just rather cross stitch.? I did start the third kitten on my latest project last night.? Not sure I will actually stitch today since I am sure I will have a hard time?staying awake.? I went to bed around 2 and I was still awake at almost 8 and then was awake at 11:30.? I should sleep good tonight.
