who are you?

Connee Chandler

Hi, friends,

David and I were just sitting here talking, and I got an AHA!
about self-referencing in meeting new people.

We were talking about who we identify ourselves as in
conversation, and what Carolyn Myss says about draining our
energy through ties to the past we refuse to sever.

For example, when my husband, Cliff, made his transition, for
about six months, within five minutes of conversation with
someone, I would mention that my husband had died. It was a real
measure of growth for me when I met someone at church, talked to
them at length, and three weeks later they found out I was a
relatively recent widow.

I also can remember how, when I quit my "career" as a librarian
and computer trainer, that for at least a year, I would tell
people who asked that I "used to be..." a person with a real
job! And how when I moved to Virginia, I would always slip
quickly into the conversation that I had moved here from
Colorado.

Today, when I meet new people, I delight in telling most of them
that I am a Religious Science practitioner, and within the first
five minutes, am likely to be telling them about my vision of
Evensong.

I really like the fact that I am much more forward and up
referenced than down and back now.

Abe says that we are in every moment telling the Universe who we
are, and it is reponding to that signal. (See lesson 13 on my
Web site below for the Who Am I game, if you are interested in
more info on the Abe game.)

Who are you saying you are?

Love and hugs,

Connee

Abraham say not to talk about who were but talk about who you are becoming.
Otherwise you are just mucking up your vibrations and bring that old stale
stuff up. You don't need to explain anything to anyone and the U doesn't
need your resume!

I know I am still working on this growth experience. My wife was upset
with me recently because I wasn't introducing myself to people like she was.
I told that I am shy I didn't feel that introducing myself would make any
difference as I would not see these people again. She has to except me for
who I am.

I have been reinventing myself it seems for most of my life and I know I can
do it everyday with great results.

Love and light!

Dear Ones,

I have been "away" for 3 months, but I have carried each of you in my heart.
I ventured into the unknown, discovering the joy of living in the mystery. .
.

I am a healer, a visionary, a mystic, a dreamer. I live passionately within
my own heart and reside in my own truth. I am an adventurer on a journey
with no end. I am a seeker and discover much. I am an explorer open to the
possibilities. I am an innocent child who trusts. I am a wise soul who
knows. I am a woman of means - which means I am independent and whole within
my own self. I am an open heart of love expressing joy in all ways. I am a
lover of touch - spiritual, physical, emotional, and sexual. I am an
unconditional lover and expand this pathway each moment of my being. I am a
mother, a daughter, a sister, a friend. I am a woman and enjoy being this
mystery greatly. I am the joy of loving intensely, faithfully, passionately
because doing so is my truth. I smile and say "All Is Well" as I honor the
truth of who I am.

Thank you, dear ones, for being seeds in my life and joys in my heart.

lovelight,
Alyce

So what kinda question is this Connee? what a silly question !! dont ya
think this test is a little too easy? jeeeeeeez ---- " who am i?"
Thats it????? I think everyone who reads my posts knows who i am,
everyone who sees me knows exacty who i am and probably everyone who hears
me knows exactly who i am too. I mean who a person is ---is just so
obvious, isnt it? Isnt a person reduced to what they do or what they say or
what they type? I can sure write volumes about who i am......... but I do
need a little more question unless this is some kinda knock knock joke you
are setting us up for. so you realy wanna know who i am? you wanna know
who is this strange abraham obsessed jdc is? this one who just cannot get
enough and craves abraham like a drug...... who hangs out on this list to
get a little more abe like a fix.... this one who recognizes the face of
abe no matter how cleverly disguised....... ok ill play your silly
game.... Please pick as few or as many that apply to the question you are
tryin to ask me. do you want to know:
(1) Who 'they' think i am?
(2)Who 'they' think I should be?
(3)Who i pretend to be?
(4)Who i used to be?
(5)Who i wish i could be?
(6)Who im afraid I might be?
(7)What great things ive done?
(8)What gawdawful things ive done?
(9)name, age, sex, address, occupation & marital status?
(10) what i like about abraham?

Or i could answer this question with something meaningless but kinda
enlightened sounding answer----that is...... if you hold your mouth just
right when you read it --- like: I am a "strictly abe" JDC or "I am
an extension of the non physical ALL THAT IS" or "I am a child of the
universe with a right to be here" or or how about just "I AM" or some
other kinda superspiritualmetaphysicalreligioushokeypokey sounding so so
good answer that makes my head silently echo "I WISH I WISH I WISH" because
all the wanna be answers i will write for your question are only typed
words with no feelings that match. . Or could I just tell you why i
appreciate abraham so much ?

well, maybe this is not a too easy question and/or too silly test here
after all. so why dont you just tell me who you would like for me to be and
I can become that in my next post. i can be someone you would be proud
to call your friend. I can type something real funny or spill my guts or
if you have several hours to read the answer i can get on a roll with one
of my 'i am woman, hear me roar' posts that exceeds every email line limit.
Or i could just type out a few paragraphs from the awesome abraham tape i
heard at the park yesterday.

so ok -----maybe your question is more than just a little hard to
answer ---- OMG I have been writin on this post for days now and deleted
more than a few line limits. hmmmmmmm.....and now i wonder if i even know
who i really am... oh chit- connee, I DONT KNOW! i mean i dont have
the slightest idea of who i am. not a clue. I even looked me up in the
dictionary and i aint there. OMG im confused. So am I supposed to
already know who I am before I jumped on the jdc list or do I figure it
out after I get here? Or is it ok to just fake it if i cant figure it out?
damn connee, please ask something real simple and real easy for someone
unenlightened like me that i can answer......like who you are or who
abraham is.
