Feng Shui

Hi all,

Here's my 2 cents on Feng Shui: like astrology and superstitions, it's a
belief system. If you believe you are subject to its influence, you will be.
If you don't believe it affects you, it won't.

We can all create an energy flow or environment that is pleasant and
comfortable. We don't have to move our furniture any special way. We just
decide to believe that the energy is fine for us, and it will be.

Like Elias says, astrology has got it all backwards. The stars don't
influence us, it is we who influence the stars (actually create them, even).
Same for feng shui. It is not the energy that influences us, it is we who
influence it.

So, my fellow gods and goddesses, fear not bad feng shui or bad
astrological alignments or "unhealthy foods". Food doesn't cause weight gain
or ill health, we do. Feng shui doesn't cause energy problems, we do. The
planets don't create our destinies, we do. You can eat what you want if you
believe you can, you can have your furniture placed anywhere if you believe
you can. To believe otherwise makes you victims to thousands of theories of
what has power over you and will send you seeking thousands of advisors or
books to discover how to fight these victimizing influences...

Follow your joy, create what you want, and know that you are the creators.
Nothing can have an influence over you unless you agree to it.

Light and joy, Jon

Dear Jon,

The statements you made in your letter are the things Abraham has been saying to
us constantly. No matter how many tapes we listen to or seminars we go to of
Abraham's the voice of Newspapers, TV, and others shout so much louder.
Therefore, we become convinced that if we take this or that or arrange our
furniture so and so that all will be well. I think that we all spend a great
deal of money buying things that aren't magic but we seem to have to try them.

Yes, if we truly believe that something will help then it will. For instance, I
believe that food supplements will help my overall health and they do. However,
so many things I get saying "I'll try this it might help". Most of the time
these things don't help and I realize that once again I have fallen into the
trap of suggestion.

It was nice to see Abe by Jon <g> Thanks!!

With love
Lola

I really love you, Juls.

I feng shui the best I can. It's fun. I've had a blast with my relationship
corners, especially in the bedroom. Quite a nice romance going on there. ;)
IMO, the best advice feng shui gives is to rid yourself of clutter. That
does wonders for anyone. Opening up space is an "active" statement of
well-being. Opening up the flow, being open to receive, etc. At least
that's how it feels to me. When things become cluttered, the energy does
feel stagnant. I love, clean, clear open spaces.

I first learned about feng shui in November of 1998 and have played with it
off and on since then. I took a one night class a few months back and the
teacher had fascinating stories on how people had literally changed their
lives, almost overnight. Was it because they believed in feng shui or
because of the many thoughtforms around feng shui - which is quite powerful
and available for us to tap into at will. I like stepping into
well-developed thoughtforms and going with it. This in no way discounts my
power as deliberate creator. It simply allows that I cocreate with what is
available. If you're having fun with it, then it's a good thing. Isn't one
of Abe's basic core messages that we feel good and enjoy ourselves along the
way.

much love,
Alyce

Hi Jon,

As a newsome list person, I've been happily consuming the collective wisdom
of you Abe folks. Your post today certainly added to it. My brief
experience with Feng Shui, however, reminded me to set up the house in such
a way that it "felt good". And doesn't even that have a tinge of Abe in it.

Feeling Love,

Rosabella

Hello All!
While each of us is the process of realizing just how unlimited our true
nature is, we are attracting various knowledge, opportunities, ideas,
reminders, that we are ATI that resonate with our IB. Eventually, we will
be able to manifest our desires with a thought.........but until we reach
the level of absolute knowing that this is so, it is perfectly healthy - and
fun - to bridge "out" and bring the desired teaching, item, whatever, back
"in". Since there is No Beginning and No End, thus, No Separation, we
cannot be disloyal to our IB if we are acting in concert with it, and
allowing the LOA to work its' magic in our lives!
And part of partnering with our IB is expressing gratitude for the growth
and wisdom we accumulate along the way which serves to RE-MIND us of who "I
AM"!
I think the point is not to allow any train of thought, person (read
"guru"), place, or thing to take precedence over our knowingness of our
place in ATI. If, indeed, this rings true to someone, they are operating
from a desire to experience variety in their expression, to bring more
knowledge of ATI to him/her. If the reverse is the case, then he/she is
operating from a sense of lack.

Th-th-th-that's ALL for now, folks!

In Absolute Love, Joy, and Desire,

Hi Jon,

I totally agree with you that we create our own realities, and everything
else, just a taking a pill or having surgery are ways we use to allow our
wellness, so are all the rest of the things that you mentioned.

BUT, 1/4 of earth's population has been using Feng Shui for thousands of
years, maybe there's something to it and it can't hurt in the end anyway. I
believe that Reiki can heal and so it does, I believe that water is good for
me to drink so it is, I'm not really in to astrology but I have notices
correlations in hind sight between things and that method has been used
since we first began recording time. Just as Abe says, why throw away the
modern advances we have made in technology, medicine, etc why also throw
away some of the old methods? LOA has ALWAYS been it's Not a new thing.
Everything is energy and if placing a water fountain in the far left hand
corner of my room brings greater abundance then Great, if not I'll play the
prosperity game more often. :D

They are just tools, methods, things to play with, nothing more, nothing
less. And if you're clueless about design it gives you a place to start.
:D

LOVE YA- Juls

This discussion has been really great for me. I've been peripherally aware of discussions on the upcoming eclipse and grand cross as well as feng shui. Reading all the posts, I've become aware that my own beliefs have been shifting. For years I kept abreast of planet movements and most days knew what sign the moon was in. It began to feel like some kind of bondage for me. If something feels good and I feel a strong desire to do it, I do it now. If I need a new tv I no longer check to see if mercury is retrograde. If I feel clear, I go out and buy one.

The same with feng shui. If I put a vase of flowers into a corner because I like it, I don't worry about what corner I've just shifted the energy in. I move furniture about without worry that it will have some sort of catastrophic effect on my life. Normally I move furniture because I am ready for a new perspective and when the mood strikes, I just do it. I don't consult any manuals.

I'm not saying that there's a problem with studying feng shui or astrology or anything else, but when you begin to organize your life around another person's set of rules you have begun to allow another persons thoughts and desires help rule your life instead of your own. I've learned this so clearly. When something feels good to do now, I just do it. Later on I may consult an ephimeris just to see what was going on if it was fantastically successful, but if I experienced challenges, I no longer worry about whether it was some Saturn issue. Contrast is contrast and I focus on that rather than what was going on in my chart.

Participation on this list is really liberating for me: I've had an opportunity to examine my beliefs in this area and I plan to let the eclipse and grand cross pass without special ceremony. There is tremendous movement in my life and it is enough to focus on that and where I am heading. If planetary alignment is part of this movement, so be it. I'll just imagine myself to be a surfer and riding on the crest of that energy.

Jon, thanks for your post.

Love, Judy
