Jenna, within your whole post, you pose some thoughtful questions. While I
am not feeling inspired to address all of your other questions, I did get
a quick inner response to the one posed above, namely:
"If I see a motorist stranded on the road, do I stop?"
The answer for me is clear: If I feel that I am Aligned with
stopping---that is, if I check in with my InnerBeing, and the message is
clearly, "Yes, stop", I do so, without hesitation.
If the message is not to, or if I get no clear inner guidance, I don't.
If the guidance then is to call for help, or do something else along these
lines, I do that.
If I don't feel aligned with any of that, I might just send the "light"
[something from my past spiritual practices that I don't use much now,
except sometimes I find myself spontaneously doing it when passing
accidents or other traumatic situations].
Like many others, I trust this guidance. Big time. It has served me over
and over through the years, long before I was calling it InnerBeing.
For example, years ago while living in NYC during a time of a lot of
'senseless' street drug robberies...while sleeping next to an open,
unlocked window on a fire escape, I was awakened suddenly by the pounding
of rapid footsteps down the fire escape, past my window, soon followed by a
quick jump to the sidewalk.
I knew they came from above. I knew I had an older neighbor upstairs who
lived alone, also on the fire escape. Without even a first thought, let
alone a second, I grabbed a robe and my keys, and headed upstairs to check
on her.
She was shocked that I came upstairs to her. For, after the intruder
left, she had pounded on the door of her neighbors next door, and this
couple, both of whom were home, would not open their door...They were too
afraid. [or perhaps their IBs were telling them not to ;^)
While my neighbor was astounded that I came up, it didn't seem like
anything to me....for it was so aligned to do so in that instance, that
anything else was unthinkable.
I didn't feel brave; or like a good samaritan. I was just doing what was
in the flow to do.
But, if I had not felt in that flow, I would not have gone up. I would
have called her probably. And the super; and maybe even the police if she
hadn't. But mainly I would have done what felt naturally aligned for me
to do. Whatever it was.
Same with the motorist. While *I* have no idea what the individual
circumstances of that motorist might be...i.e., was it a legitimate
circumstance of need, for example......I do trust that my IB knows. And
that I can rely on that.
Regarding Hitler and other instances of potential danger, I don't know what
I would do. I've thought about it some, but not much. Cause when I have,
my IB inevitably poses this question to me, in so many words, subtley or
not-so-subtley:
"Does thinking about this feel good? Is this relevant to your
experience right now?"
Inevitably, the answer for me is NO to both questions. And so my mind
naturally drifts on to other things to think about.
BTW, this is not to say that considering these questions posed by Jenna may
Not be on for some folks to examine. However, for me, it is a pretty easy
thing to deal with.....for I just don't get much inner support for looking
at these issues.
Does this mean I'm avoiding something, or in denial? There was a time
when I would have thought so. But now that I have made FEELING GOOD my No.
1 priority, it is literally a no-brainer.
Thanks for helping me look at this, Jenna. I look forward to hearing
others' response.
Much love,
Pat Mmmmmmmm

You're right about some aspects of the resistance thing -- in learning
ABE and SOM, I've come to realize that participating in any "anti" rally
is adding emotional energy and focus. And I have no intention of
joining that event this weekend for this very reason.
However, we on this list do embrace a belief system that includes the
concept that we are all of the One. For this reason we are all
connected. That implies, that while it may not be my individual
experience, the plethora of human rights violations that continue in
various forms and intensities throughout the world are also happening to
us because they are happening to individuals with whom we share
Oneness. Indirectly their experience is also ours. Their quality of
their life is also ours. And from this premise, what do we do to
improve the experience of the one?
Someone yesterday posted that Esther had tapes on Hitler, I too would
like to experience these tapes or transcriptions -- and I marvel at the
synchronicity of that message posting on the same day as mine. While I
am sure there is a broarder larger grander picture and I CAN step out
from the level of personal tragedy, what is it that invites this into
human experience?
I am amazed at the silence of the list on this subject...have I been
dubbed the one who just doesn't "get it yet"????? Or is this touching a
spot that is uncomfortable for everyone???? If we embrace being PPE, is
it only for our own personal benefit? At what point are we
narcisistic? At what point does our choice of being in service to
Source take us outside of our individual experience?
The question I have about allowing stems frorm the conventional history
(in a nutshell) that most people ignored (i.e., allowed) Hitler in the
20's and 30's...it did not lessen his energy or his affect on the
world. Let's play what if ... what if some negative political power
reigned in our country? How would that enhance our individual
experience and happiness?
Accepting the concept of lesson to be learned -- is that the only way to
learn them? And even if they are lessons that others need to learn (but
not us), if that is the majority experience that surrounds us, how does
that effect us? AND, HOW DO WE CHOOSE TO DO as PPE in its midst?????
WHAT IF a motorist is stranded on the road, do we stop? Do we continue
driving but place a call on our cell phone to beckon assistance for
them? Or do we just drive by and dismiss it as their lesson in life to
learn -- assuming we have absolutely no role in this situation?
Remembering though, that all "coincidence" is significant, why were we
the ones that happened to drive by that stranded motorist???
Why did that article on polution, child abuse, female genital
mutilation, etc. happen across your path? Insignificant coincidence?
Just pass it into the recycled paper bin because it's not immediately
featured in our backyard? Or is it Source tapping us on the shoulder
with an invitation?
At what level does our joy and fulness and compassion of embodying
Source spill over to become a channel of Source for others? And what
does that look like in the face of the many forms of
disconnection-from-Source that are demonstrated throughout our planet?
WHAT IF IT IS OUR LESSON, in the face of these situations, to be a
channel of source to others?????? How do we do that in situations that
are cultural rather than individual?
