[Abraham-Hicks] Re: Highest Good
Marcia Singer
To me "the highest good" is not asking permission per se, it is I have to agree here. As someone else mentioned, the U will give us exactly what we want, even if we place parameters around the desire. The only "problem" with this is that i personally don't always WANT what i want once i get it, the reason being that i was not able to foresee all the ramifications to getting it. I hope that someday i will have enough intuition and discernment to be able to know ahead of time how the having of my desire will impact on my whole life, but until then, i am a bit reluctant to ask for SPECIFIC, detailed things, such as thus-and-so lover or a job at such-and-such place or a certain home to live in, etc. I have gotten such things......the boyfriend, the work, the apartment....exactly the ones i wanted (by name or address), and they turned out to be NOT what i wanted at all. As i heard once, sometimes the having does not stack up to the desiring. I would rather trust the Universe to bring me what is for my highest good rather than exactly what i THINK i want. Or as someone else mentioned, "this or something better." I have never been one to trust anyone other than myself, even the Universe (before i really understood that we are all ONE)...lol But experience has shown me that when i try to do it all myself, let's just say the contrast can sometimes be VERY uncomfortable. When i trust the Universe to bring me my desire in the best way and for the highest good, knowing that there are many details about the situation about which i'm unaware and therefore at best i'm basing my decision on sketchy information, things always work out much better.
